The Time Had Come!

Zhong Shenxiu put away the Long Water Bottle and turned toward where Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were hiding. He called out openly, "Wulin, we're leaving! I've taken care of everyone for you!"

His voice echoed through the empty forest. No one answered.

Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were still soaking in the stream. They looked at each other, their expressions equally complicated.

Tang Wulin wanted to laugh but couldn't. Xie Xie wore an expression that said, I knew this would happen.

Zhong Shenxiu did not wait any longer. He took a deep breath, and Soul Power surged through his body.

In that short time, the Clear Dragon Heart had laid bare every Soul Guidance Array in the Illusion Realm. He knew the location of every energy node, the route of every conduit, and even how to enter and leave the space.

Coming and going freely was easy for him.

Soul Power spread around the three of them, and pale blue light enveloped Zhong Shenxiu, Gu Yue, and Xu Xiaoyan.

The light grew brighter and denser, then abruptly contracted. White light swallowed all three at once.

A feeling of weightlessness swept over them. After a brief spell of dizziness, solid ground returned beneath their feet.

Zhong Shenxiu opened his eyes as the cockpit lid slowly lifted. He unfastened his seat belt and stepped out. Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan followed, both looking calm, as though the crushing battle they had just fought had been nothing out of the ordinary.

In the circular hall, the other students were emerging from their cockpits one after another. Some looked bitter, some hung their heads, and others rubbed their eyes as they tried to adjust to the light of the real world. But the moment Zhong Shenxiu stepped out, every gaze turned toward him.
