Zhong Shenxiu insists that he remain included in the examination arrangements. Shrek Conflicts

Tang Wulin supports Zhong Shenxiu in confrontations with Yue Zhengyu and Cai Yue’er, publicly expressing confidence that Zhong is the strongest student of their generation. 295 326

During a group journey, Tang Wulin and Xie Xie organize sparring matches at an academy in Mistwave City. Tang Wulin opposes Yang Nianxia and Wu Siduo’s dismissive treatment of others and insists that they follow the agreed route and challenge plan or travel independently. Yang Nianxia leaves, while Wu Siduo remains with the group. 420

During the Black Hand attack, he leads an attempted escape with Blue Silver Grass, fights the Earth Phenomenon Black Hand despite the substantial power gap, and attempts to invoke Zhong Shenxiu’s name to buy time for his group. He is ultimately injured and captured with his companions. 421 422 423

Invoking Zhong Shenxiu’s name stops the attacks against Tang Wulin and Xie Xie. Tang Wulin then uses Ye Xinglan’s acquaintance with Zhong to seek protection for her as well. Aboard the train, he maintains that Zhong is their friend and treats their situation as that of guests rather than prisoners, though Jinglei warns them that lying about their connection would be fatal. 422 424

Bloodline Truth and Tang San’s Defeat

After being brought back to Zhong Shenxiu’s side, Tang Wulin learns that the Golden Dragon King bloodline is not merely a source of power, but an eighteen-seal inheritance containing Tang San’s hidden divine consciousness. He realizes that the unexplained resentment and hostility he once felt toward Zhong may have been externally induced. 453 465 474

He also reassesses the values he absorbed at Shrek, recognizing that institutional loyalty and the privileges of the strong had distorted his understanding of justice. This realization helps him distinguish his own convictions from both external manipulation and the academy’s teachings. 467

When Zhong Shenxiu forces the hidden consciousness into the open, Tang San takes control of Tang Wulin’s body and breaks multiple seals to create a temporary Title Douluo-level combat state. Zhong Shenxiu defeats the possessed Tang Wulin, extracts Tang San’s divine consciousness, and leaves Tang Wulin critically injured by the backlash of thirteen shattered seals. 469 470 471 473

The injuries include ruptures to more than seventy percent of his meridians, numerous broken bones, damaged internal organs, and severely depleted vitality. With Tang San’s suppression gone, the released Golden Dragon King power continues rampaging through his body, threatening to destroy him from within. Zhong Shenxiu catches him as he falls after the extraction. 473

In the aftermath, Tang Wulin struggles with the fear that losing the Golden Dragon King’s power will return him to weakness. Xie Xie reminds him that his true value comes from his perseverance and character, enabling Tang Wulin to recommit himself to becoming strong through his own efforts. 479 514

Blue Silver Grass Awakening and Doulong Technology

Following the stripping of the Golden Dragon King bloodline, Tang Wulin’s Blue Silver Grass fully awakens rather than leaving him powerless. Its vitality substantially improves his healing, endurance, and battlefield-control abilities, while his cultivation reaches the six-ring Soul Emperor realm.
