Gu Yue entered human society after sealing her original divine power and memories. As the Silver Dragon King and one half of the Dragon God, she sought a way to prevent the Soul Beast Clan's extinction in the face of humanity's growing civilization. Her first human identity developed alongside Tang Wulin; after her memories returned, she separated the personality Na'er from herself, retaining seventy percent of her original power as Gu Yue. 32 365

At Eastsea Academy, Gu Yue quickly recognized that Zhong Shenxiu carried an ancient and unfamiliar dragon aura. Her first private conversation with him concerned the origin of his Radiant King Dragon martial soul, but his evasive answer did not resolve her suspicions. 22 After witnessing his Dragon Might, which nearly compelled her bloodline to submit and seemed comparable to the Dragon God's own pressure, she became determined to uncover his origins. 27 28 Initially, she viewed him as a potentially decisive asset for the soul beasts and hoped to recruit him, while also feeling an instinctive closeness she could not explain. 50
