The manager immediately pointed west. "The woman summoned a golden cloud, and they flew off to the west."
"The Flying Nimbus. It really was them.

Chi-Chi and Ox-King left the hotel.
They hurriedly climbed into their plane and flew west.
The people at the hotel only breathed a sigh of relief once Ox-King was gone.
The manager at the front desk wiped away a cold sweat.

"It's hard to believe that kid being mauled by a rich woman is the fiancé of that adorable little girl!"

"How do I put it? Their builds are so different, I was even wondering if she was really his daughter."
"Hey, same here. I was wondering that too."
"Still, her dad looks fierce, but he seems to dote on her!"
"By the way, what do you think will happen if the father and daughter find that blue-haired rich woman and the kid?"
Everyone drew in a sharp breath again.
"Just imagining it is terrifying!"
"Her father and her fiancé catch him cheating, then beat him to death?"
"Yikes..."
Pilaf's Castle.
"You two useless fools had better find the Dragon Balls by tonight, or I'll deal with you!"
"Your Majesty, we'll definitely find them this time."
Suddenly, the Radar began beeping.
"Wait!"
"The Radar shows that one of the Dragon Balls is speeding toward us."
"Oh, you're right!"
"Haha! We've been looking everywhere, and now it's come right to us!"
"If they're coming here to die, then let's fight!"
"Mai, Shu!"

Mai and Shu stood at attention.
"Give them a good beating and take the Dragon Balls. Are you confident?"

At the entrance to Pilaf Castle.
Mai and Shu each piloted a Steel Beast robot.
They waited for Son Goku, ready to fight him and take the Dragon Balls.
A short while later, Bulma and Goku arrived.
Mai laughed into a megaphone. "You actually dared to come to King Pilaf's territory? You're like an old man hanging himself—looking for trouble!"
As she spoke, the two giant robots took a few steps forward and blocked Bulma and Son Goku's way.
Shu laughed from inside his machine. "Hey, you two! If you don't want to die, hand over the Dragon Balls. Our king might spare your lives!"
Bulma's lips curled into a broad smile, and she turned to Goku.
"Goku, try not to hit them too hard. Don't kill them.
Just beat them and Pilaf up, then get the Dragon Balls back."
Son Goku nodded. "Don't worry. I know what I'm doing."
As he spoke, Goku rolled up his sleeves and walked toward the robots.
Defeating these three jokers was no challenge at all for Goku at his current level.
With her hands in her pockets, Bulma took a few steps back and quietly watched Goku fight them.
Seeing Goku dare to attack first, Shu gritted his teeth.
"How dare you refuse a friendly offer! Take this!"
As he spoke, Shu controlled his robot and swung its enormous fist down at Goku.
Goku leaped lightly and dodged the attack with ease.
The machine fist, heavy as a hammer, slammed into the ground.
A tremendous crash rang out, and the earth shook three times over.
Mai laughed. "Hahahaha! See that?
King Pilaf's robots are incredibly powerful. That punch had a force of several tons.
It shook the very earth!
Good thing you dodged. Otherwise, it would've smashed you into a pulp!
I suggest you hand over the Dragon Balls without a fuss!
It's not worth losing your life over them."
Shu joined in with a wild laugh.
"Exactly! I suggest you surrender to King Pilaf's power and hand over the Dragon Balls!"
Son Goku laughed. "Power, huh? Then I'll play along!"
As he spoke, Son Goku pulled out the Power Pole and pointed it at Shu.
The next instant, Goku stamped on the ground and charged toward Shu's robot.
Shu was startled. He hadn't expected Son Goku to fight a giant robot with nothing but his bare hands.
He immediately made the robot counterattack.
But the next second, the Power Pole extended.
Son Goku swung the lengthened Power Pole in a wide arc, sweeping it hard toward the robot.
The Power Pole was a treasured weapon, far sturdier than steel.
In an instant, it swept across the robot with a powerful gust of wind.
The next moment, Goku was standing firmly on the ground.
Shu still had no idea what had happened.
"What just happened?"
Suddenly!
The robot made a strange noise and stopped responding properly.
Shu's body began to tilt, too.
"What's going on?"
"Zzzzt... clack, crack..."
A series of mechanical failures sounded, and Shu's robot split in two.
Only the cockpit remained attached to the upper half, and it fell with Shu still inside.
Before Shu could hit the ground,
Son Goku raised his staff again and struck the robot's enormous lower half.
The Power Pole roared toward the robot with a powerful gust of wind.
The next instant, it ripped the robot's lower half in two.
A burst of rapid electrical crackling and flying sparks followed.
The robot exploded with a bang.
The blast engulfed the upper half as well in a cloud of dust.
When the dust settled, Shu sat on the ground, covered in soot and completely dumbfounded.
Mai was horrified. She knew her robot wouldn't stand a chance against Goku either.
So she immediately piloted it away.
But Son Goku reacted swiftly. The Power Pole stretched again, and one strike broke the robot's legs.
Mai's robot soon exploded, too.
She, too, crawled out of the wreckage in a sorry state.
Chapter 27: Shenron Appears
Bulma walked up to the two of them and faced Pilaf Castle.
She shouted, "Pilaf, if you don't want to lose your two lackeys, hand over all six Dragon Balls right now!!"
A defiant reply immediately came from Pilaf Castle.
"They're just a couple of useless lackeys.
They can't even handle such a simple task. I don't want them anymore!
Let's see what you can do about it!"
Shu and Mai both burst into tears.
"No!"
"King Pilaf, don't abandon us!"
But a sly smile appeared at the corner of Bulma's mouth.
