Namek Conflict

Frieza travels to Namek to collect the Dragon Balls and summons the Ginyu Force after his soldiers and generals are defeated. He specifically orders the squad to recover the Dragon Balls and kill anyone obstructing him. 143

After the Ginyu Force disappears, Frieza realizes that an opponent capable of defeating them has emerged. Learning that Namek’s Dragon Balls have been used, he personally heads toward the source of an overwhelming energy signature. 156 157

Frieza transforms into Final Form and immediately takes Vegeta out of the battle. Although the Earth fighters cannot seriously damage him through direct attacks, their coordination, Tien Shinhan’s Tri-Beam, and Krillin’s Destructo Discs sever his tail and part of his foot. 158 159

Resurrection and Return to Earth

The Frieza Force uses Earth’s Dragon Balls to resurrect Frieza. After learning that Goku has grown strong enough to defeat Majin Buu, Frieza concludes that he must surpass Goku through training rather than dismissing the threat. 307 309
