Lu Ruoxi was a True Disciple of the Divine Firmament Dao Sect’s Jade Maiden Peak lineage. Her teacher, True Person Jingxuan, was a powerful Golden Core expert nearing a Nascent Soul breakthrough; Jingxuan’s influence protected Ruoxi from repercussions for provoking and exploiting numerous wealthy admirers within the sect. 228 434

Before the sect’s tax-collection assignments were formally arranged, Ruoxi secured an auditing post at the Ten Thousand Sword Sect through her teacher’s connections. She gave Li Yunjing her communication frequency and offered to bring him into the audit so that he could share its benefits. 108 During the mission, she became the focus of attention among the Ten Thousand Sword Sect’s disciples, while Li Yunjing faced hostility from her admirers. 113

Her early reputation was that of a skilled manipulator who used beauty and calculated charm to recruit talented men and obtain resources. Yu Yunyi specifically warned Li Yunjing that Ruoxi had a history of wrapping gifted disciples around her finger. 109 However, her interest in Li Yunjing became genuine: she openly chose him over her former sycophants, gave him her life-saving jade pendant, and became his Dao companion. 227 228

The jade pendant contained a sealed avatar of True Person Jingxuan. When Li Yunjing was pursued by the Golden Core cultivator Hou Yingchen, the avatar emerged and killed Hou, exhausting the artifact’s power in the process. 246 247
