Background / History

Fu Chao entered the Divine Firmament Dao Sect as a privileged Fu Family heir. At the entrance assessment, he shoved aside other candidates, including Li Yunjing, and seized a place in line. His top-grade Fire Spiritual Root earned him special treatment and selection by the sect elders as a prodigy, despite his poor reputation for arrogance and indiscipline 9 11 12.

Soon after joining the sect, Fu Chao openly challenged the Foundation Establishment True Disciple Wei Henian. The dispute was rooted in the rivalry between Wei Henian and Fu Chao's elder brother, Fu Hengkong; Fu Chao deliberately used Li Yunjing to provoke Wei and declared that the Fu Family would destroy anyone opposing his brother 26. His family influence was substantial: Mad Peak was effectively monopolized by the Fu Family, which possessed three Golden Core ancestors, while Fu Hengkong was a powerful True Disciple and later became a Golden Core Vice Sect Master 63 64 433.

Although initially dismissive of Li Yunjing's problems, Fu Chao became one of his most important allies. His apparent recklessness often conceals a calculating nature. Fu Chao deliberately plays the role of an unreasonable tyrant to unsettle opponents, test the sect's tolerance, and create openings for his schemes. His operation against He Bao—provoking him into violating sect rules, arranging Law Enforcement Hall intervention, and taking over the gambling market—revealed planning ability that surprised Li Yunjing, Yu Yunyi, and Lu Ruoxi 133 134.

Fu Chao is deeply loyal to those he accepts as his own. Though Li Yunjing initially used his influence while Fu Chao used Li as a pawn against Wei Henian, their relationship developed into genuine brotherhood.
