Ever since the communication link was established, Raditz would chat with Bulma for a few minutes every day to open up to her.
He revealed Piccolo's identity to her, described the scenery of Namek, and talked about those giant Dragon Balls, sharing whatever came to mind.
Bulma expressed surprise when she heard this news, but she quickly brushed it off and moved on to other topics.
Although the conversations were mundane, Raditz felt exceptionally relaxed every time he connected the communicator.
It even eased the exhaustion brought on by his training.
However, for the past few days, Bulma had been acting mysterious, saying she wanted to give him a surprise.
Raditz couldn't imagine what kind of surprise it could be.
Time passed just like that, and Kadis also completed Moori's requirements, preparing to head to the next elder's village to undergo his trial.
Before setting off, Raditz finally learned what the surprise was.
Raditz: "Are you ready?"
Bulma: "I'm ready."
Raditz: "Then go ahead."
Bulma: "Should I say it?"
Raditz: "Go ahead and say it."
Bulma: "Come forth, Shenron!"
This scene, of course, was not taking place on Namek, and Bulma was not there.
The Shenron she summoned was on Earth.
The wish was also very simple.
Raditz stood in an open field, waiting for a moment, when several figures appeared.
Among them was a beautiful girl, whom Raditz recognized at a glance.
"Bulma!"
Clearly, Bulma had wished to teleport herself to Raditz's side.
Using the Earth Dragon Balls, she had arrived on Namek directly from Earth.
"Raditz!" After a brief moment of dizziness, Bulma ran happily toward Raditz, and the two embraced.
"Bulma, long time no see."
"Hmph! You didn't think I'd dare to come over, did you?" Bulma waved her fist, looking quite spirited.
Raditz smiled helplessly.
A girl had traveled thousands of miles to a completely strange planet just for him.
He was quite moved.
Time turned back a few hours.
When he first heard Bulma's idea, Raditz had sternly refused.
However, upon reflection, since Bulma could use the Earth Dragon Balls to teleport over, he could also use the Namekian Dragon Balls to teleport her back.
It was nothing more than the loss of one wish.
As far as he knew, the Namekian Dragon Balls granted three wishes.
That was more than enough.
So, Raditz had readily agreed and told her his thoughts.
A round-trip ticket, with instant arrival—a chance to go on an extraterrestrial vacation.
It was fantastic!
Bulma immediately shared the good news with everyone.
"Bulma, are you telling the truth?!" Krillin jumped up from the sofa.
Master Roshi, standing to the side, also wore a skeptical expression.
"I've already prepared the Dragon Balls. If you don't believe me, then I'll just exclude you when I make the wish later," Bulma said with a sharp look in her eyes.
"No, no, I believe you, I believe you." Krillin quickly backed down.
"Then hurry up and notify Goku, Yamcha, and the others. Such a great opportunity, everyone should go together!"
"Alright, alright, I'm going right now."
After a while, a group of people gathered in front of Kame House; everyone who was supposed to come had arrived.
"Huh? Where's Goku?" Bulma didn't see a sign of Goku.
Wasn't he always quite concerned about Raditz? He had even said before that he wanted to have a match with Raditz when he returned.
Why wasn't he here now?
"This..." Krillin scratched his head, looking somewhat awkward. "Chi-Chi doesn't seem too keen on Goku leaving. They just got married, and now they have to be apart..."
"That's true," Bulma realized.
"Is everyone here, then?" Bulma looked around the group.
Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu.
Everyone who was supposed to go was present.
Master Roshi, Launch, and the others had opted to stay behind at Kame House to watch the place.
"Come forth, Shenron!"
Raditz saw the group behind Bulma, all dressed as if they were on a casual outing, and the corner of his mouth twitched.
Did they really think this was a vacation?
"Heh, Raditz, you rascal. So this is where you snuck off to." Krillin stepped forward with a grin and punched Raditz on the shoulder.
"Krillin, still haven't grown any taller?" Raditz countered immediately.
"Hmph!" Krillin snorted. He didn't retort, only grumbling to himself.
Haven't seen him in so long, and he still talks like a jerk.
"Everyone's here. Long time no see!" Raditz greeted the others, but after scanning the group, he noticed a problem.
"Where's Goku?"
"He..." Bulma explained the situation to Raditz.
"I see." Raditz nodded in understanding.
That was a pity; Goku might have just missed an opportunity to grow stronger.
The others gathered around, observing Raditz.
Beyond the fact that he was now nearly six feet tall and his features were more sharply defined, the sheer, overwhelming aura he radiated left them stunned.
"Raditz, you haven't slacked off on your training out there, have you?"
"It looks like you've left us far behind," Yamcha said with a sigh of resignation.
He remembered the days when Raditz was just a green, inexperienced youth who hadn't even entered the martial arts world, while he himself had already created the Wolf Fang Fist. Now...
Sigh, better not dwell on it.
Tien Shinhan stood silently to the side, staring blankly at Raditz. Suddenly, he felt an urge to return home immediately and train harder.
"Everyone who came this time will have a chance to get stronger," Raditz said, noticing their shifting expressions as he offered some encouragement.
"Really?!" Krillin jumped up, eager to remind everyone of his presence; he hadn't slacked off on his training either.
"Yes, it depends on your destiny."
"Uh... destiny?" Krillin looked blank. It was such an unfamiliar word.
"Alright, let's go over and say hello." Raditz saw Moori and the others gathering nearby. "Bulma told you, right? This is the home of Kami and Piccolo, but the people here are a pure and kind race."
"Don't do anything rash."
Seeing Raditz approaching with the group of newcomers, Moori smiled. "Greetings, guests from afar. You are from Earth, just like Raditz, aren't you?"
A man who looked exactly like Piccolo was smiling warmly at them, surrounded by a group of other "Piccolos."
Krillin suddenly felt a surreal, chilling sensation.
Could Piccolo really smile like that?
Although the initial encounter was a bit awkward, the outcome was positive.
Aside from their initial loss of composure, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, and the others soon realized that Moori was very different from the Piccolo they knew.
Everyone settled in.
Bulma had brought a large number of Hoi-Poi Capsules, which contained almost everything they could possibly need.
There was no need to build houses; they were installed at the press of a button.
"Bulma, your family's Hoi-Poi Capsules really are convenient."
A row of houses appeared out of thin air.
Krillin opened a door to find the interior fully equipped with all the necessities of life.
"Since we've left Earth, we obviously have to bring everything we can," Bulma said grandly. "You all can pick a room."
"Don't worry about unpacking just yet. I have to head out to the other villages soon."
Raditz interjected, explaining to everyone that he needed to visit six villages to collect the Dragon Balls.
Bulma immediately insisted on coming along.
"Is there something special about the Dragon Balls here?" Bulma asked.
"Perhaps... even larger?"
Raditz retrieved the two Dragon Balls he had already collected from the stone hut.
"They're this big!" Krillin exclaimed, his face full of wonder. "Just how powerful must the Shenron summoned by these be?"
"It should be somewhat different from the Shenron on Earth," Raditz said.
"Furthermore, it can grant three wishes."
"That many? It really is powerful."
"Why don't we all help you collect the Dragon Balls?"
"Bulma happened to bring several radars along."
"This..."
