Ye Wudao spent thirteen years at the Sea City Orphanage. He was later imprisoned over a vehicle collision that he maintained was a false accusation; Wang Fu, the orphanage guard, was implicated in arranging the framing. 48 50

In Prison No. 1, Ye Wudao sought martial instruction to pursue revenge. Hu Lianfeng taught him the Myriad Calamity Body Forging Art, but the Martial Dao Self-Improvement System identified the technique as the Northern Dark Divine Art instead.
