Origin and Cosmological Role

At the end of the Primordial era, Blue Star was an unevolved land known as the Origin Land. Heavenly Dao intended to erase it, but Lady Houtu intervened, preserved it, and concealed an avatar of herself within it. 313

Blue Star is the Mortal Realm location closest to the Reincarnation Realm and serves as a node connecting the Land of Mountains and Seas with the Reincarnation Realm. People swept into the Land of Mountains and Seas preserved and spread knowledge of the Primordial era, explaining Blue Star's unusually detailed records of Primordial Gods and Devils. 313

Spatial Rifts and Trial Grounds

Blue Star is linked to the Beast Taming Sect's dimensional space through numerous spatial rifts. These rifts provide access to the Rift World, later identified as the Beast Taming Sect's Trial Grounds. 10 88 206

A mysterious force began slowly shrinking every known Blue Star-side rift. Investigators determined that the force existed only on the Blue Star side; the Trial Grounds-side rifts merely contracted in response. 253

Ye Wudao later traced the phenomenon to a buried mountain in Blue Star's Western Regions. Its power resonated with the Green Crystal and caused the rifts to heal more rapidly as the mountain emerged. 257

The rift between Blue Star and the Spirit Realm eventually healed, threatening to isolate Blue Star from other Mortal Realm regions that depended on it as a transit point. 254

Martial Development

More than three thousand years earlier, the Spirit Realm sealed the path of ascension from lower realms because of resource scarcity. The severance deprived Blue Star of spiritual energy and led to the loss of its higher cultivation methods. 88

The ensuing conflict led to a 200-year Peace Treaty. Blue Star feared the sect's elder-level experts, while the Beast Taming Sect feared the effects of Blue Star's large-scale weapons on its disciples and the karmic consequences of mass slaughter. 88

Planetary Defenses

• Star Array — Ye Wudao refined 360 formation disks and deployed them in the void around Blue Star. The disks manifest as illusory stars and can form a planet-wide net. 252 255
• Heavenly Demon containment — During the Heavenly Demon invasion, the Star Array enclosed the battlefield around Blue Star, blocked the demons' advance, and permitted defending cultivators to retreat. 298
