Background / History

Old Yao established the Heavenly Court at Xiao Qing's instruction as an alliance against the Soul Hall. Its original core consisted of the Pill Tower, Star Fall Pavilion, and Burning Flame Valley, with the Flower Sect and Sound Valley among the early participating forces. Old Yao served as its interim manager while Xiao Qing remained in seclusion. Its immediate objectives were consolidating allied strength, preparing for a Soul Hall counterattack, and uncovering the purpose behind the Soul Hall's soul collection 171.

The Nine Nether Deepworld Python tribe subsequently joined under Yao Ming, who became head of the Heavenly Court's Beast Domain branch. Yao Ming publicly attributed the tribe's allegiance to Xiao Qing saving him and restoring his position as patriarch 221 223.

By the time Xiao Qing returned from Tianxuan Continent, the Heavenly Court had become the Dou Qi Continent's foremost holy land. Prodigies gathered there in large numbers, while ancient clans and reclusive experts sought favorable relations with it 439.

Xiao Qing then announced a cross-planar expansion: the Heavenly Courts of the Dou Qi and Tianxuan Continents would be merged, their strongest cultivators gathered, and the united force led into the Great Thousand World. The resulting organization governed both worlds while establishing itself on the Western Heaven Continent and the Nine Provinces Continent 440 484.

Leadership and Organization

• Xiao Qing / Heavenly Emperor — Founder and supreme leader. He directs expansion, military policy, alliances, resource integration, and the faction's long-term defense 440 484 621.

Founding and war against the Soul Hall

The Heavenly Court began as an anti–Soul Hall coalition. It participated in operations against the Heavenly Underworld Sect, whose destruction was followed by Heavenly Court forces looting its treasury 171 213.

Consolidation of the Dou Qi Continent

The faction gained the Nine Nether Deepworld Python tribe, attracted continent-wide talent, and rose into the Dou Qi Continent's dominant holy land 223 439.

Cross-planar integration

After Tianxuan Continent was stabilized, Xiao Qing merged the strength of both lower planes and brought their leading cultivators into a unified Great Thousand World organization 440 484.

Western Heaven Continent expansion

After the fall of the Western Heaven Battle Emperor, the Court captured his Battle Hall, converted it into the Heavenly Palace, and absorbed or screened its former personnel. Over the next two years, regional factions submitted letters of allegiance 480.

Tianluo Continent campaign

The Court entered Tianluo Continent through Great Luo Heaven, declared the Northern Region its first territory, and faced the Mohe-backed Tianluo Alliance. Mandala secured the Northern Region while the Supreme Spirit Ancient Clan reinforced the Court's position 538 539.

After years of standoff and conflict, the Tianluo Alliance collapsed. Ancestor Danyang, Venerable Purple Thunder, and Venerable Ghost surrendered; Ancestor Mystic Yin and the White Tiger King departed. The Heavenly Court then spent five years integrating the continent and reforming its resource distribution 569.

Rise to superpower status

The faction's strength expanded to more than one hundred Earthly Sovereigns, several Spirit Grade Heavenly Sovereigns, and four Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereigns 569. Xiao Qing's advancement to Saint Grade Heavenly Sovereign elevated the Heavenly Court from an emerging hegemon to a force regarded as equal to the Great Thousand World's established superpowers 621.
