Qing Xuan originally ruled the Snake-People Tribe as Queen Medusa. Her first encounter with Xiao Qing in the Tagor Desert was hostile: she was a peak Dou Emperor pursuing a Heavenly Flame, while he was only a three-star Dou Wang. Their confrontation produced a ten-year pact and began their complicated connection as enemies. 27 202

Saint Qingling's remnant soul later temporarily resided within Queen Medusa. After Xiao Qing reached the Dou Zun realm, he gave her the name Qing Xuan: “Qing” represented vitality and resilience while sharing the character in his own name, and “Xuan” referred to beautiful jade and the Xuanji star.
