Nature and Cosmology

The Great Thousand World is the source and center of countless lower planes. Its heaven-and-earth energy is vastly purer and more abundant than that of the Dou Qi Continent, while its laws are clearer and more complete. 338

It is one of the larger, mature Star Domains of the Chaos Universe rather than the universe in its entirety. Countless lower planes orbit it like a sea of stars; the Dou Qi Continent and Tianxuan Continent were each only a speck within that larger structure. 481 623

• It possesses a complete supreme Heavenly Dao, manifested through the Heavenly Vault Ranking. 623
• Its spiritual energy is a higher-order energy than Dou Qi or Yuan Power. When the Dou Qi and Tianxuan Continents were connected, their native energies gradually fused and evolved into spiritual energy. 446

History

Reconnection with the Lower Planes

The Dou Qi Continent had been cut off from the Great Thousand World for ten thousand years. Xiao Qing identified the Great Thousand World as the destination of past Dou Emperors and sought to shatter the ascension barrier so future cultivators could ascend. 293 338

Using his Inner World to establish contact across the void, Xiao Qing located the Great Thousand World and opened a spatial passage. The effort required him to draw upon continental origin, endure void turbulence, and stabilize the emerging entrance against spatial erosion. 343

Arrival of the Heavenly Court

Xiao Qing, Zhu Kun, Gu Yuan, and Xiao Xuan entered the Great Thousand World through the passage. They had to convert their Dou Qi into spiritual energy and adapt to the new world’s laws; their Dou Emperor cultivation initially corresponded only to Lesser Earthly Sovereign. 449

The group’s arrival immediately drew the attention of local Earthly Sovereigns and the Western Heaven Battle Hall. Xiao Qing’s later defeat of the Immortal Grade Western Heaven Battle Emperor established his reputation across the Great Thousand World and brought the Heavenly Court into the view of the Great Thousand Palace. 451 470 477

Relocation of the Nine Provinces Continent

Xiao Qing later opened a rift large enough to relocate the Dou Qi and Tianxuan Continents into the Great Thousand World. He protected the continents from destructive spatial currents with chaotic light, after which they experienced the spiritual-energy backflow required for lower planes to integrate into the greater world. 481 482

The two former planes were designated the Nine Provinces Continent, placed under the Heavenly Court’s jurisdiction, and established as its first foundation in the Great Thousand World. 483

Outer Realm Evil Clan Conflict

The Outer Realm Evil Clan is the Great Thousand World’s greatest external threat. It erodes worlds, destroys lower planes, and continuously seeks to invade the Great Thousand World’s territory. 502

• The Saint Abyss Continent serves as a primary defensive line. Ancient seals beneath it require constant suppression by Immortal Grade Heavenly Sovereigns. 503
• The Evil Clan’s infiltration extends beyond the battlefield: prominent Spirit Grade Heavenly Sovereigns were discovered to have been secretly corrupted into hidden pawns. 564
• A major invasion of the Saint Abyss Continent was launched by a Heavenly Demon Emperor alongside Mystic Demon Emperors and Ghost Demon Emperors, prompting the Great Thousand Palace to call for reinforcements from all major forces. 570
• Xiao Qing was assigned as a core combatant against the Mystic Demon Emperors. His killing of the Shiyuan Mystic Demon Emperor caused the demonic tide to collapse and shifted the battle’s momentum. 576 578
