Background / History

Nuwa and her elder brother Fuxi lived in seclusion on Fengqi Mountain, where both pursued their respective Great Dao laws. Her Law of Creation possessed an exceptionally deep foundation, but she was unable to advance after the Great Dao retreated and the Heavenly Dao's Rules obscured the path ahead. 26

She first met Tianlu while he was investigating the Innate Plantain Tree. Together with Fuxi, she discussed the Dao with him, then invited him to travel Mount Buzhou as protection against its formations and unknown dangers. 24 26 27 The three cooperated to open a hidden blessed land, dividing its treasures according to their respective paths: Nuwa and Fuxi accepted the Five-Colored Stone. 29 30

At Purple Cloud Palace, Nuwa sensed that a sacred seat cushion was tied to her destiny. With Fuxi and Tianlu's help, she secured the fourth sacred seat. 41 Later, she rejected Grandmist Purple Qi on instinct; after her advancement through the Great Dao of Creation, its Heavenly Dao origin felt impure and incompatible with her perfected path. 78 173

Tianlu later bestowed Qi of Fortune and Prosperity upon her. During seclusion, this fortune allowed Nuwa to sense the retreated Great Dao directly, overcoming the Heavenly Dao's obscuration and advancing to the Golden Immortal of the Origin realm. 58 62 71 She continued cultivating on Tianlu's Three Immortal Islands and reached the mid-stage of the realm before attending the third Purple Cloud Palace lecture. 72 74

When her cultivation stalled at the peak of the Golden Immortal of the Origin, Nuwa left Fengqi Mountain to travel the Primordial World. Witnessing the myriad races being hunted by the Witch Race, she repeatedly intervened, protected survivors, taught the Great Dao of Creation, and left behind treasures and inheritances. These acts earned her the titles Nuwa Sovereign and Empress of Creation, while the faith and gratitude of living beings refined her Aura of All Spirits. 114 115

At the East Sea Coast, Nuwa realized that the Primordial World's existing races remained trapped in a cycle where the strong devoured the weak. Using Nine Heavens Breathing Soil, Three Lights Divine Water, and her heart's blood, she created the first three thousand humans in Innate Dao Bodies. She subsequently created another Yuanhui's worth of humans from ordinary soil and seawater. 116 The completed Aura of All Spirits became the will of all beings—the Human Dao—and Nuwa was crowned its representative. 116 117

After attaining the Dao, Nuwa announced that she would expound the Dao of Creation at Fengqi Mountain. She later postponed the sermon when Houtu's attainment changed the heavenly secrets. 117 131 134 Seeking to protect Fuxi from the Witch–Demon Tribulation, Nuwa negotiated with Tianlu for Law of Merit and accepted responsibility for guiding his Three Clouds disciples. 135 136

Tianlu ultimately fulfilled their pact by giving Nuwa merit intended to help Fuxi attain the Dao and receive a divine position. Fuxi initially refused her assistance in favor of pursuing his own path, but later remained at Fengqi Mountain to cultivate and prepare for attainment under Nuwa's guidance. 172 173 189

Personality

Nuwa is serene, dignified, and compassionate. She dislikes contention, bloodshed, and struggles for hegemony, which contributed to her refusal to join Fuxi, Di Jun, and Taiyi in founding and expanding the Demon Race. 52 57

She values affection and righteousness, particularly where Fuxi is concerned. Although she does not approve of his involvement in the Demon Race, she respects his choice and later seeks Tianlu's aid so that he may attain a higher station. 57 63 135 136
