Background / History

Years before Yang Jian's martial-soul awakening, Yang Wudi survived a catastrophic battle in which more than half of the Break Clan died, including his son and daughter-in-law. He led the surviving members through a bloody escape and established the clan in Mountain Lord City. 1

As patriarch, Yang Wudi witnessed Yang Jian awaken the Three-Pointed Double-Edged Spear. Rather than resent the way his own Soul-Breaker Spear submitted to the child's martial soul, he accepted it as proof of Yang Jian's superiority and resolved to support his grandson's path. 1

After Yang Jian awakened the Heavenly Eye as a second martial soul, Yang Wudi publicly named him Young Clan Leader and designated him as his successor. He also classified Yang Jian's twin martial souls as the Break Clan's highest secret. 2 3
