Background

Yang Jian was originally an overworked corporate employee on Blue Star who died suddenly and reincarnated into the Break Clan as Yang Wudi's grandson. His parents had died during Spirit Hall's assault on the clan, which followed the Clear Sky Sect's seclusion and the abandonment of its affiliated clans. He grows up carrying both the Break Clan's grievance against the Clear Sky Sect and its blood feud with Spirit Hall. 1

At age six, he awakens the Three-Pointed Double-Edged Spear instead of the clan's inherited Soul-Breaker Spear. The weapon compels the surrounding Soul-Breaker Spears to submit, including Yang Wudi's martial soul. He then awakens the Heavenly Eye as a second martial soul, becoming a twin-martial-soul possessor. 1 2

Yang Wudi appoints him Young Clan Leader on the day of his awakening. Yang Jian vows to avenge his parents, erase the clan's humiliation, and restore the Break Clan's former glory. 2
