Yu Xiaogang is the son of the current Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan patriarch. Rather than inheriting the clan’s Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, his martial soul mutated into the independent Luo Sanpao, leaving him regarded as a disgrace within his strength-oriented clan. 207 212

He built his reputation through theoretical writings, including the Ten Core Competitiveness Theories and the maxim that “there are no trash spirits, only trash spirit masters.” He publicly maintained that spirit-ring absorption limits could be precisely calculated and maximized. 5

Attempt to Recruit Wu Ling

Yu Xiaogang encounters Wu Ling at the Nuoding City Spirit Hall branch and immediately attempts to take the innate-full-spirit-power child as his disciple. He views Wu as an opportunity to validate his theories and restore his standing, but Wu Ling refuses outright. 4

Yu attempts to persuade Wu using his reputation and ring-limit theories. Wu challenges those claims, exposing flaws in Yu’s logic; Yu becomes enraged, considers violence, but leaves when Su Yuntao and Mashinuo intervene. 5

Mentorship of Tang San

After Tang San reveals his Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer, Yu Xiaogang takes him as a disciple and views him as a second chance to prove his theories. 74

He leads Tang San into the Soul Hunting Forest, recommends the Sharp-Scaled Snake as his first ring, and is injured during the hunt. Tang San kills the beast and successfully gains Blue Silver Flying Knife as his first spirit skill. 75

Tang Hao later entrusts Tang San to Yu Xiaogang. Yu gives Tang San a Profound-grade Soul Art and travels to Martial Soul City to acquire stronger cultivation methods and information on Twin Martial Soul cultivation. 82

Confrontation with Bibi Dong

Yu Xiaogang enters Martial Soul City relying on Tang Hao’s Elder Token and expects his past relationship with Bibi Dong to secure him a Heaven-grade cultivation method. 83

Shrek Academy and the Golden Sacred Dragon
