"Think carefully. When did your tail fall off, and how?" Old Supreme Kai glanced sideways at Sun Wukong.
"Now that you mention it, Old Supreme Kai..." Sun Wukong rested his chin in his hand and thought for a few seconds. Then his eyes lit up. "I remember! The Guardian said so! He said my tail was a nuisance, so he removed it! It never grew back after that!"
"To untie the knot, you must find the one who tied it," Old Supreme Kai said with a smile.
"You mean the Guardian might be able to help me grow my tail back?" Sun Wukong understood.
"That's more or less what I mean." Old Supreme Kai nodded, then asked, "So, how many times stronger is your Super Saiyan 4 transformation than you are now?"
"I think it's over four thousand times stronger," Sun Wukong replied.
Old Supreme Kai: "..."
Old Supreme Kai's eyes widened, and his ears shot straight up.
Over four thousand times!
Was he kidding?
"Kid, you're not joking with me, are you?" Old Supreme Kai asked, dumbfounded.
"No, Old Supreme Kai. Why would I joke about that?" Sun Wukong shook his head.
"If that's really true... then your true power in the future should be three hundred thousand times what you are now, right?" Old Supreme Kai marveled, unable to hide his amazement.
"I don't know how you worked that out, but it sounds about right." Sun Wukong didn't have much of a grasp of numbers like that.
"Kid, you're incredible!" Old Supreme Kai was utterly shocked. He couldn't help muttering under his breath, "A human this powerful is already close to reaching the level of a God of Destruction, isn't he?"
"What's a God of Destruction?" Sun Wukong asked, startled.
"Let me ask you something else." Old Supreme Kai's expression grew more serious as he looked at Sun Wukong. "You said that in the future, that fellow called the Evil Dragon released negative energy that affected the entire universe. Is that right?"
"That's right. The universe was almost devoured by all that negative energy. If we'd left it alone, the whole universe might have been in danger." Sun Wukong nodded.
"Then why didn't Beerus show up?" Old Supreme Kai asked, puzzled.
"Beerus? Who's that?" Sun Wukong scratched his head.
"Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction!" Old Supreme Kai replied.
"I've never heard of him... I defeated the Evil Dragon with a Spirit Bomb, but I used up all my energy. My soul then followed Shenron to this point in time," Sun Wukong said thoughtfully. "As for this God of Destruction you're talking about, Old Supreme Kai, I don't know anything about him."
"That's strange. With a crisis of that magnitude threatening the universe, Lord Beerus should have appeared!" Old Supreme Kai thought, holding his forehead. "Even if Lord Beerus didn't show up, Grand Zeno might have erased this universe with his own hands in the end! All that negative energy... Grand Zeno could have taken care of it with a wave of his hand!"
"Huh? Old Supreme Kai, what are you talking about? I don't understand a word!" Sun Wukong said, bewildered.
"Let me ask you this: did my future self ever tell you how I ended up inside that Z Sword?" Old Supreme Kai asked.
"You said some incredibly powerful guy sealed you inside it. He wasn't as strong as Majin Buu, but he was at least stronger than you, Old Supreme Kai," Sun Wukong answered honestly.
"Did I say that?" Old Supreme Kai sighed. He was becoming more certain that his future self was an idiot.
"You did." Sun Wukong nodded.
In the distance,
Supreme Kai and Kibito kept glancing over. Both wore looks of utter shock.
"Great Ancestor and this man called Sun Wukong seem to be getting along pretty well!" Kibito thought, feeling a little uneasy.
"It's as if they knew each other already," Supreme Kai mused.
"How could this be? It shouldn't be possible." Kibito was deeply suspicious.
"I wonder what they're talking about. They look so serious," Supreme Kai said, his gaze deep. He wanted to eavesdrop, but felt it would be rude.
After hearing Sun Wukong's story, Old Supreme Kai was at a loss for words.
"So, did the one who sealed me ever show up again?" Old Supreme Kai asked.
"No," Sun Wukong replied.
"All these years, he never showed up?" Old Supreme Kai felt more and more that something was wrong. He began pacing back and forth again.
Lord Beerus had been asleep for so long. Surely he should have woken up by now.
The chance of him going to Earth was very low.
But if this kid called Sun Wukong had really become that strong, he should have attracted Beerus's attention.
Even if Beerus hadn't noticed him, Whis should at least have told Beerus about him.
Something was wrong!
More and more things weren't adding up!
But I'd never tell you that Beerus was the one who sealed me!

"So, when that Evil Dragon appeared in the end, my future self didn't ask any other universes for help, aside from having you deal with it?" Old Supreme Kai asked another question.
"Other universes? What do you mean?" Sun Wukong was even more confused.
"I see. I think I understand," Old Supreme Kai said with a long sigh.
"Old Supreme Kai, could you explain what you mean?" Sun Wukong asked, looking bewildered.
"I can tell you one thing for certain!" Old Supreme Kai stepped forward, patted Sun Wukong on the shoulder, and said with a smile, "Your worries are probably unnecessary."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Sun Wukong scratched his head.
"There's a good chance that the Evil Dragon you mentioned won't appear in our timeline." Old Supreme Kai smiled mysteriously.
"The Evil Dragon won't appear?" Sun Wukong was startled, then suddenly understood. "Is it because we can prevent it by not overusing the Dragon Balls?"
"No. It's because someone even more terrifying than the Evil Dragon will appear here." Old Supreme Kai sighed toward the sky. Inwardly, he was delighted, but he looked solemnly at Sun Wukong.
"Old Supreme Kai... you're saying someone even more terrifying than the Evil Dragon will appear?" Sun Wukong stared, dumbfounded.
"That's right. His name is Beerus!" Old Supreme Kai said gravely. "The God of Destruction Beerus, said to be the strongest in the universe!"
"Beerus, the God of Destruction?" Sun Wukong had never heard of him.
"That's right." Old Supreme Kai nodded.
"Is he even more terrifying than the Evil Dragon?" Sun Wukong asked.
"According to my estimate, Beerus is at least ten thousand times stronger than the Evil Dragon you mentioned," Old Supreme Kai said thoughtfully.
Sun Wukong: "..."
Sun Wukong was completely stunned and couldn't recover for a long while.
Ten thousand times stronger than the Evil Dragon...
"Old Supreme Kai, you're joking, right?" Sun Wukong said with an awkward laugh.
"Who's joking?" Old Supreme Kai snorted. "Ten thousand times stronger is just a conservative estimate. I don't know how powerful Lord Beerus really is. He might be a hundred thousand or even a million times stronger."
