Before his isolation, Huang Si lived alone, worked a regular job, avoided most social interaction, and spent his free time gaming, reading, and watching videos. He was already inclined to stay home and remain detached from others. 1 2

He awakened in a pitch-black version of his home, cut off from electricity, networks, and the outside world. Objects pushed beyond his door disappeared into the darkness, leaving his apartment as an isolated refuge. Soon afterward, he discovered the leather-bound Creation Book, which identified him as its owner and granted him the ability to record and create matter. 1 2

His first creations were crude and often unusable, forcing him to learn through microscopic observation. By directly perceiving atoms and molecules, Huang Si learned to replicate water, starch, oxygen, food, and increasingly complex materials. He built basic life-support systems, electrical equipment, solar panels, processors, and robots while trapped in the Dark Space. 3 4 9 14

An attempt to create a second copy of himself caused memory loss, but also revealed that the Creation Book could record and restore his physical state. When his body later deteriorated from malnutrition and confinement, Huang Si deliberately rolled himself back to an earlier state, preserving research through extensive notes while sacrificing much of his lived memory. 7 8 15

To endure loneliness, Huang Si rewrote and developed twelve artificial intelligences in the virtual Mountain and Sea Realm. After discovering the Green World beyond the Ring, Huang Si established the Earth Realm base, explored its ecosystem, and directed a long-term project to improve ape-men into humans. Huang Si’s true body is an ordinary human body subject to illness, aging, and physical decline. He commonly operates through synthetic or prosthetic bodies when working in the Earth Realm, though he considers them disposable avatars rather than his true self. 15 26
