Sasuke attended the Ninja Academy alongside Aoike, Naruto, Hinata, and their peers. In the first-year midterm examination, he used the Great Fireball Technique against Aoike but was defeated while Aoike relied only on the Three Basic Jutsu. Sasuke immediately vowed to defeat him someday, beginning their persistent rivalry. 1 2
