Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King and sovereign of the Soul Beasts. When Lin Tian hatches in the Star Dou Forest, she identifies him as an outsider to both the Douluo Continent and the God Realm. Believing his arrival will aid the Soul Beast clan's revival, she grants him the Silver Dragon Blessing despite the strain it places upon her weakened body. She also recognizes that a seal suppresses most of his bloodline power. 2

After Di Lintian decides to transform into a human and pursue a path toward godhood, Gu Yuena agrees to accompany him into the human world. 8 Upon leaving the Star Dou Forest, she takes the form of a short-haired silver-haired girl in a white dress and chooses the name Na'er. 10

Sky Dragon Pavilion publicly presents Na'er and Di Lintian as its disciples. She travels with him to Nuoding City, observes the newly transformed Xiao Wu, and later accompanies him through the Soul Hunting Forest. 11 12 13 Di Lintian's eventual honesty about his origins and Tang San's future helps resolve her doubts over whether he truly intends to revive the Soul Beasts. 13

Her defining goal is to end the rule that prevents Soul Beasts from becoming gods and forces them to endure a Heavenly Tribulation every hundred thousand years. She does not seek humanity's destruction; rather, she wants Soul Beasts to return to the God Realm and attain divinity without reincarnating as humans. 22

She becomes more open after Di Lintian explains his knowledge of Tang San's future. Their failed attempt at roasting fish demonstrates her less formal, playful side—though she responds to his prank by punching him into a stream. 13

Na'er is willing to set aside hostility toward humans when doing so serves the Soul Beasts' future. She reassures Di Lintian that their revival does not necessarily require overthrowing humanity, provided Soul Beasts can ultimately return to the God Realm and become gods. 22
