Background
Tang Hao was already a renowned Titled Douluo before the main events. He had offended Spirit Hall and was no longer in his prime when he confronted Sky Dragon Pavilion's Chi Huo and Xuan Shui outside Nuoding City. Despite his weakened condition, he defeated the two Rank 95 Douluos through successive ring detonations and the Great Sumeru Hammer. 12
He concealed Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor and Tang San's mother, within a cave behind the Holy Soul Village waterfall. Tang Hao protected the site with a Soul Power barrier and left the 100,000-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone there for Tang San. 35 42
Di Lintian broke the barrier, took both Ah Yin and the soul bone, and left a message associated with the Red King. Tang Hao arrived too late, discovered the empty growth site, and fell into grief. 35 42
Appearance
Tang Hao commonly conceals himself in a black robe. After Ah Yin's disappearance, he is described as gaunt, unkempt, bearded, and reeking of alcohol after spending seven days drinking. 12 42
- His face is weathered and marked by the strain of repeated combat and loss. 12
- He bears nine Soul Rings when revealing his full identity: two yellow, two purple, four black, and one red. 42 67
- After his imprisonment and escape, he is severely injured and physically weakened. 79 83
Personality
Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San and Xiao Wu. He refuses to allow Tang San and Xiao Wu to be taken by Spirit Hall, viewing their danger as a repetition of Ah Yin's tragedy. 68
His protectiveness can become violent and impatient. After learning that Yu Xiaogang had allowed Tang San to absorb a ten-year spirit ring, Tang Hao beat Yu Xiaogang and threatened him against repeating the mistake. 14
Ah Yin's loss leaves him emotionally devastated, withdrawn, and prone to despair. Even after his cultivation is crippled, Tang San remains the reason he continues living and eventually agrees to leave Sleeve-Cutting Forest. 42 87
Abilities & Skills
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Hao's martial soul is the Clear Sky Hammer, which he wields through overwhelming force and direct hammer techniques. 12
- Manifested alongside a full Titled Douluo-level set of nine Soul Rings. 42
- Its attacks can shatter the combined dragon breaths of Chi Huo and Xuan Shui. 12
- He can use Clear Sky Body Protection, forming a hammer-shaped defensive barrier around himself. 12
Clear Sky Avatar
Tang Hao's seventh spirit skill merges him with the Clear Sky Hammer and greatly increases his combat power. 12
- Enables him to channel detonated Soul Ring energy directly into the avatar's hammer. 12
- Was used against both the Water-Fire Twin Dragon and Golden Crocodile Douluo. 12 68
Ring Detonation
Tang Hao can shatter his own Soul Rings to release their stored energy and dramatically amplify the Clear Sky Hammer. 12
- Detonated two yellow and four black Soul Rings while fighting Chi Huo and Xuan Shui. 12
- Combined ring detonation with the Great Sumeru Hammer for his strongest available strike in his weakened state. 12
- Later detonated black and red rings while attempting to protect Tang San and Xiao Wu from Golden Crocodile Douluo. 68
- The technique places extreme strain on his body; after his battle with the Water-Fire Twin Dragon, he temporarily could not use Soul Power. 12
Deathgod Domain / Divine Slaughter's Domain
Tang Hao possesses a blood-red killing domain referred to as the Deathgod Domain and Divine Slaughter's Domain. 12 68
- He activated the domain before using Clear Sky Avatar against Chi Huo and Xuan Shui. 12
- During the Spirit City battle, the domain enveloped the Shrek group, Bibi Dong, and Golden Crocodile Douluo. 68
- It did not affect Bibi Dong, who had also passed through Hell Road and possessed the same domain. 68
