Background / History

Saintess and Change of Teachers

Bibi Dong initially serves as Spirit Hall’s recently appointed Saintess and Qian Xunji’s disciple. While accompanying Yue Guan to investigate a village massacre, she mistakes Ye Xunfeng for the Fallen Soul Master responsible. Yue Guan notices the child’s evil aura, and Ye Xunfeng subsequently kills the actual culprit 8 9.

After returning to Spirit City, she innocently tells Qian Xunji that the stranger resembles Qian Daoliu and possesses seven soul rings. Her report alerts Qian Xunji to Ye Xunfeng’s survival and precedes his assassination order 10 12.

Qian Daoliu later declares Qian Xunji morally unfit to teach her and transfers her to the Elder Hall’s instruction. By the time Ye Xunfeng cripples Qian Xunji, Bibi Dong says he has not been her teacher for three years. She does not blame Ye Xunfeng, recognizing that he acted to avenge his mother 18 27.

Relationship with Ye Xunfeng

Bibi Dong becomes attracted to Ye Xunfeng’s appearance, resilience, gentleness, and strength. She confides in Light Feather Douluo, who advises her to wait before confessing. Qian Daoliu proposes marriage between them, but Ye Xunfeng initially refuses because of his promise to Ah Yin 27 28.

Following Qian Xunji’s aphrodisiac plot, Bibi Dong and Ye Xunfeng are drugged and have an intimate encounter. Ye Xunfeng subsequently accepts responsibility for her and their relationship. She later asks him to reaffirm that promise and says she will coexist peacefully with Ah Yin 31 32 38.

Her pregnancy is revealed before the birth of their daughter, Ye Qingxue. Bibi Dong’s affectionate care deeply moves Qian Renxue’s soul, which resides within the infant but cannot take control of her body 39 44 52.

Slaughter City and Recovery

Bibi Dong undertakes one hundred battles in Slaughter City before confronting Rakshasa God Bibi Dong on Hell Road. Exhausted by injuries and blood loss, she sends Ye Xunfeng a distress signal and continues resisting, particularly when the counterpart insults him through attacks on the Angel Clan 83 84.

Ye Xunfeng destroys her attacker and carries Bibi Dong out. After recovering in Spirit City, she recalls fearing that she would never see him, Xiao Xue, or Ah Yin again, and thanks him for saving her 84 85 100.

Mentorship and Ocean Cultivation

Bibi Dong accepts Dugu Yan as her disciple, offering to teach her how to control poison rather than be controlled by it 132.

She later joins Ye Xunfeng and Ah Yin on an ocean hunt to equip her second martial soul with powerful rings. Competition between her two martial souls obstructs absorption until Ye Xunfeng intervenes. Over nearly two months of hunting, her Soul Power rises to level 98 137 142 143.

Appearance

Bibi Dong has wine-red hair and large purple eyes compared to amethysts 27.

  • Recorded clothing: A light-purple robe during the departure for the ocean hunt 137.
  • Weapon placement: Carries her slender sword at her waist 137.
  • Martial soul avatar: Develops purple-black carapace, six purple spider wings, and sharp spider claws 83.

Personality

Early Bibi Dong is idealistic, inexperienced, and quick to judge apparent wrongdoing. She does not initially know what a Fallen Soul Master is, and her first accusation against Ye Xunfeng overlooks the evidence that Yue Guan detects 8.

She is candid about her affection for Ye Xunfeng, praising his looks and repeatedly bringing him meals and soup. Although she promises not to compete with Ah Yin, she remains troubled when she learns Ah Yin will publicly attend a celebration with him 27 38 63.

Her gentleness is especially evident with her daughter and Dugu Yan. In battle, however, she is stubborn and proud: even near exhaustion, she refuses to accept insults directed at Ye Xunfeng and continues fighting her stronger counterpart 52 83 132.

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

  • Death Spider Emperor: Her first martial soul; manifests spider limbs and supports close-range attacks 142 218.
  • Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor: Her second martial soul; suited to rings with poison, darkness, and spiritual attributes 142.
  • Internal conflict: The Death Spider Emperor initially monopolizes incoming ring energy, leaving her second martial soul unable to absorb it properly 142.
  • External stabilization: Ye Xunfeng establishes a boundary between the two using a needle of Destruction power, ending their struggle during absorption 142.

Death Spider Emperor Avatar

  • Activated through her seventh soul ring, enlarging her body and forming carapace, spider wings, and claws 83.
  • Uses spider limbs like spears during her underwater battle with a Deep Sea Jellyfish 142.
  • Does not overcome Rakshasa God Bibi Dong: her claws pass through the counterpart, who subsequently forces her out of the avatar state 83 84.

Poison Control

  • Draws concentrated toxins from the Deep Sea Jellyfish into her martial soul 142.
  • Condenses Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor poison needles at her fingertips 218.
  • Uses her poison-type expertise as the basis for teaching Dugu Yan 132.

High-Age Soul Rings

  • Completes her second martial soul’s nine-ring configuration entirely with hundred-thousand-year-tier rings 143.
  • Documented sea-beast sources include a Deep Sea Jellyfish, Abyssal Octopus, Sea Serpent, Giant Squid, and Leviathan 142.
  • Requires Ye Xunfeng’s support to resolve twin-martial-soul interference during the hunt 142.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Slender sword — Forged for her by Ye Xunfeng; present during the Hell Road confrontation and later worn at her waist 83 137.
  • Distress signal flare — Obtained from Ye Xunfeng before entering Slaughter City, reserved for a life-or-death emergency 83.

Relationships

  • Ye Xunfeng — Husband. Her initial admiration develops into an established relationship; he rescues her on Hell Road and assists her cultivation 27 32 83 85 142.
  • Ye Qingxue — Daughter. Bibi Dong comforts, sings to, and watches over her with pronounced tenderness 52 63.
  • Ah Yin — Ye Xunfeng’s other partner. Bibi Dong promises peaceful coexistence; Ah Yin comforts her and accompanies her on the ocean hunt 38 69 142.
  • Dugu Yan — Disciple. Bibi Dong offers guidance in mastering poison and gently reassures her during their acceptance ceremony 132.
  • Qian Xunji — Former teacher. His teaching authority is revoked, and he later plots to drug her after losing the papacy 18 27 31.
  • Qian Daoliu — Arranges her Elder Hall education and proposes her marriage to Ye Xunfeng. Their relationship later deteriorates, and she explicitly tells him he is unwelcome 18 28 56.
  • Light Feather Douluo — Confidant who listens to her romantic hopes and advises caution about confessing 27 28.
  • Yue Guan — Accompanies her on the village investigation and explains Fallen Soul Masters to her 8.
  • Qian Renxue — Soul residing within Ye Qingxue. Her memories make Bibi Dong’s present-life maternal tenderness especially significant to her 51 52.
  • Rakshasa God Bibi Dong — Separate counterpart and enemy; attacks her on Hell Road and later fights her and Ye Qingxue 83 84 218.

Rakshasa God Counterpart

Identity and Condition

Rakshasa God Bibi Dong exists separately from the present-life Saintess. The text describes her as an aggregation of obsessions, rather than entirely the Rakshasa God, and initially places her aura at Limit Douluo level. She is driven by hatred of Qian Xunji and an obsessive search for Yu Xiaogang 44 80.

  • Appearance: Emaciated body, matted dark-red hair, nearly transparent skin, visible blue veins, and jagged teeth 80 83.
  • Power: Uses Rakshasa Divine Power, dark mist, and a Rakshasa Divine Body 83 84.
  • Weapon: Rakshasa Demon Scythe, recovered by Ye Xunfeng after her destruction and later sealed away 84 86.
  • Limitation: Her divine power and divine body cannot withstand Ye Xunfeng’s Destruction power 84.
