Background / History

Ye Qingxue was named by Ye Xunfeng amid a dispute between Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu over her name. Ye Xunfeng also disclosed information concerning the Angel God at the time, tying her birth to the Angel Clan’s future concerns 47.

Qian Renxue’s soul exists within Ye Qingxue’s body and can converse with her. Ye Qingxue reassured Qian Renxue that, unlike her former life, Ye Qingxue’s parents loved her as well 52 82.

As the Young Mistress of Martial Soul Hall, she was publicly introduced to Yan, Xie Yue, and Hu Liena. Ye Xunfeng arranged for the children to live and study with her, while Ye Qingxue personally welcomed them and brought Hu Liena to meet her pet kitten, Mimi 92 93.

Ye Qingxue is compassionate, curious, and unusually mature for her age. She readily welcomed orphaned children into her home, showed concern for injured commoners, and used her power to heal a sick child encountered during her travels 92 109 182.

She is also sensitive to suffering. During the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect, she was distressed by the sight of children being crippled and struggled to reconcile mercy with her father’s reasoning about justice and future consequences 114 115 116.

Despite her kindness, she can be decisive when threatened. After Xue Qinghe attempted to seize her, she chose to fight, defeated him and his guards, and remained composed before the Heaven Dou Royal Academy committee members 183 184 185.

Her mischievous side is evident in her childhood behavior: she dug through Ah Yin’s newly planted Moonlight Grass to rescue a kitten, later named Mimi, and orchestrated the shaving of the Grand Pontiff’s beard 76 143.
