Background / History

Ye Xunfeng is a transmigrator who arrived on the Douluo Continent with memories of a previous life. As a child, he and his mother fled Spirit Hall because she feared for their lives. She used a formation and her own soul power to awaken his Martial Soul, exhausting herself in the process. Although he initially possessed zero innate soul power due to damaged meridians, a system compensated by granting him the talents associated with Yun Ming and Ya Li. 1

His mother’s suffering became the source of his ambition and resentment toward Spirit Hall. After tempering his body in the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well with the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and Blazing Apricot Delicate, he resolved to become strong enough to revive her and avenge her. 3

While traveling, he rescued Ah Yin from a soul-hunting squad and accepted her as a companion. He later aided Dugu Xin’s poisoning, formed ties with Dugu Bo, and steadily accumulated allies outside Spirit Hall. 4 7 20 22

After completing a divine trial and becoming a Title Douluo, Ye Xunfeng returned to Spirit City to confront Qian Xunji. He crippled Qian Xunji by destroying his soul power core; Qian Daoliu then acknowledged Ye Xunfeng as his biological son and transferred the papacy to him. 18 25 26
