At the same time, on the edge of a field in a small village outside Heaven Dou City, a figure stumbled to his feet.

Hearing this, the guard captain hurried over to Xue Beng. As a Soul King, he actually looked down upon this Fourth Prince, who was good for nothing. Moreover, as a gate guard, he knew that the most likely candidate to inherit the throne of the Heaven Dou Empire was Xue Qinghe, not this Xue Beng.

With that, he personally led his men to Tang San and barked:

"Stop! Routine inspection!"

The group surrounded Tang San.

Seeing this, Tang San froze in fear. Although his body was healed, he was missing an arm and his soul power had not recovered, leaving him unable to use his hidden weapons. Naturally, he felt terrified facing these guards.

But for the sake of safely entering Heaven Dou City, Tang San gathered his courage and said:

"No one else is being inspected, why only me?"

Hearing this, the guard captain retorted directly:

"Why do you care so much? I said inspect, so we inspect."

With that, the captain reached out and ripped the black cloak off Tang San.

Tang San was already in an extremely unstable emotional state, reeling from his beloved being captured, his father's unknown fate, and the death of his teacher—who had been like a father to him—right before his eyes.

"Unforgivable!"

He hadn't expected this person to be so uncooperative and even dare to bare his teeth.

In the next second, the captain slapped Tang San to the ground, saying:

"If you had just cooperated, it would have been over. Why be so difficult?"

Tang San could not withstand such a blow from the captain. The captain then signaled to the guards, who immediately understood his intent.

In an instant, the storage soul tool at Tang San's waist was snatched away. Tang San naturally tried to resist.
