Overview

A Beast Tamer forms equal contracts with Soul Beasts rather than treating them as slaves. Through these contracts, the Beast Tamer and their beasts grow together: a beast's advancement provides soul-power feedback to its tamer, while the tamer supplies cultivation methods, resources, training, and protection. 18 19 39 107

Contract System

• A contract is formed through a mysterious formation; the Soul Beast becomes light and enters the Beast Tamer's Soul Mark and Beast Taming Space. 19 46

Beast Taming Space

The Beast Taming Space is Xu Bai's Martial Soul and the core medium of his Beast Taming.

• It stores and summons contracted Soul Beasts. 3 19

• External matter can be brought into the space and shaped by Xu Bai, its “world-lord,” allowing the barren space to be developed into a living environment. 3 55

Telepathy

A Beast Tamer talent that allows normal communication with living creatures. 2

Manual of the Beast God

Also called the Beast Taming Handbook or Manual, this consciousness-bound tool is Xu Bai's second Beast Taming talent. 2

• Recording — Records Soul Beasts Xu Bai has seen and touched, displaying their attributes, current age, racial potential, skills, and evolution information. Each new record rewards spiritual power. 2
• Deduction — Consumes spiritual power to infer evolution paths and cultivation methods for contracted or recorded Soul Beasts. 2
• Status assessment — Tracks a contracted beast's skill proficiency, racial potential, age, and unlocked skills. 8 11 40
• Limitation — Major deductions can consume enormous mental energy and may incapacitate Xu Bai. 5 8 15
• Growth requirement — Recording more Soul Beasts is Xu Bai's main method of increasing the mental power needed for further deductions. 14 26 46

Cultivation Methods

Beast Taming does not rely on a single universal training method. Xu Bai uses the Manual's deductions, tailored materials, deliberate skill practice, and medicinal resources to develop individual beasts.

• Magnet Powder treatment — Ground magnetite is applied twice daily to the Mutated Green-Red Tiger, drawing out its Metal attribute and helping it awaken Metal Spirit Power. 2 3 8
• A-Bao Training Method — A reward-and-punishment method using Royal Honey as encouragement and Coptis Powder as deterrence, used to train Metal Spirit Power control. 11
• Evolution and reverse-living — Xu Bai selects evolution routes and prepares specialized materials to improve a Soul Beast's attributes, racial potential, age, and skills. 5 23 39 61
• Enlightenment — A method associated with the Sword Spirit that increases intelligence, condenses the soul, and may allow ordinary beasts to become Soul Beasts. It requires Soul Elder-level soul power and “Massive” mental strength. 66

Limitations and Cost

• Beast Taming is exceptionally expensive: evolution, cultivation methods, skill training, mental-power replenishment, and medicine all demand significant funds. 5
• Xu Bai estimates that raising First from roughly 2,100 years to ten thousand years through Millennium Soul Spirit Pills could cost around three million Gold Soul Coins. 85
• Moonlight Dew can increase Little Blue's age by over five hundred years in one night, but costs nearly one million Gold Soul Coins and can only be used once every three months. 85
• The profession's reliance on wealth risks reinforcing existing class barriers rather than making power accessible to ordinary people. Xu Bai plans to research cheaper potion formulas before promoting Beast Taming publicly. 86
