Realm Structure

The Spirit Wandering Realm follows the same nine-level division as the Qi Induction and Out-of-Body Realms, but its cultivation is fundamentally different. Advancing through it requires a specialized cultivation method; a method's ceiling limits how far its practitioner can progress. 758 870

Advancement

Advancement from the peak of the Out-of-Body Realm requires the transformation and unification of essence, qi, and spirit. The cultivator uses their Spirit Body as a vessel to cross the bottleneck and condense a soul dharma body capable of roaming beyond the flesh. 773

Foundation Establishment Grades

A cultivator who did not condense a Spirit Body during their ascent to the Out-of-Body Realm faces more than ten times the normal difficulty when attempting to enter the Spirit Wandering Realm. 740

Characteristics

Independent Divine Soul

Spirit Wandering cultivators can condense their entire soul into form and send it out of the body to roam between heaven and earth. Unlike Out-of-Body divine sense, this soul body can act independently of the physical body. 592 773

• A soul body can mobilize ambient spiritual energy and cast spells even after leaving the body. 773
• Even if the physical body is destroyed, the cultivator can retain some consciousness. 592

Qi Induction and Out-of-Body cultivation remains tied to the dantian and meridians. At the Spirit Wandering Realm, the circulation and use of power can begin to break free of that system. 773

Heaven Path Foundation Establishment allows a cultivator to lodge their soul within heaven and earth, deepening their comprehension of the Great Dao and enabling rapid recovery from soul damage. 870

Those who achieve it are described as more attuned to the Great Dao, able to enter unity with heaven and man more easily, and as having a substantially improved chance of later reaching the Mystic Core Realm. 872

Combat Significance

The Spirit Wandering Realm represents a qualitative leap over the Out-of-Body Realm rather than a simple increase in mana. An ordinary Out-of-Body cultivator has virtually no chance against a genuine Spirit Wandering opponent. 653 868

• Most cultivators who enter the realm are eventually halted before its peak, and the later transition to the Mystic Core Realm remains exceedingly difficult. 872
