With Krillin and Yamcha joining in, the fighting finally came to a stop.
Feeling the powerful auras emanating from the two of them, Majin Buu, who had thought he was the strongest, widened his eyes in disbelief.
"Krillin, Yamcha, what are you doing here?"
Sun Wukong asked curiously. Thinking about it, they shouldn't have been on Earth right now!
"King Kai told us something had happened on Earth, so we rushed back."
It turned out that after the two of them got Saiyan bodies, they started acting like Saiyans too, and went off into space to seek out strong opponents to fight. They could also play the part of heroes while they were at it.
Just as they had discovered Cooler's Armored Squadron in the East Galaxy and were about to go pick a fight, King Kai contacted them to say that something had happened on Earth.
And judging by how urgent King Kai sounded, the crisis seemed terrifying. So the two of them hurried back without wasting a moment. (Actually, they just used Instant Transmission.)
On King Kai's Planet, King Kai used his two antennae to check on Earth's situation. He didn't seem to see any major crisis, though!
"The great terror the Supreme Kai mentioned... could he mean that fat pink guy? He doesn't seem all that strong!"
By now, King Kai was no longer the sheltered man he had once been, terrified even of Frieza.
With King Kai's current perspective, one Frieza was nothing. Even if a Super Saiyan 4 suddenly appeared, King Kai wouldn't think much of it.
"Strange. That fat pink guy is at most as strong as a Super Saiyan 3. It doesn't seem like he could cause much trouble, either."
King Kai was baffled. The Supreme Kai had clearly said that a great terror was stirring on Earth, so why couldn't he find it? Aside from the new fat pink guy, no other strange creatures had appeared!
"What a headache!"
On Planet of the Supreme Kai, Shin was drenched in cold sweat, staring toward Earth in terror.
"Majin Buu has awakened. It's all over now."
"Supreme Kai, what should we do?"
Although Kibito Kai had never seen Majin Buu, he had often heard the Supreme Kai talk about that terrifying demon, so he was naturally terrified too.
Shin gritted his teeth. "Let's go to Earth."
Back on Earth, Sun Wukong and the others—five Saiyans and one fat pink guy—found a city and went straight to its biggest hotel.
As soon as they entered, Vegeta bellowed, "Bring us ten portions of everything good you've got here. No, make that a hundred!"
As a man who'd gotten used to living off others, he was just as generous when treating people. His order stunned everyone in the restaurant.
This was Majin Buu's first time in a city like this, and he couldn't help being curious, asking all kinds of childish questions.
Gamos dumped the job on Piccolo. Majin Buu was just like a little kid, so when it came to looking after children, Piccolo was the obvious babysitter!
Piccolo's face turned green with anger.
Before long, a huge spread of food was brought out. In less than five minutes, it had piled up like a mountain.
"Dig in!"
The five Saiyans began devouring the food. They grabbed enormous pork legs and bit off half in a single bite.
Majin Buu wouldn't be left behind with so much food around. He opened his mouth, which expanded into a one-meter-wide abyss, and the food was poured straight inside.
"Waiter, bring out more food! Just keep it coming—as long as it tastes good."
Everyone nearby stared, eyes wide and jaws practically on the floor.
What kind of people were these? They could eat so much!
"What are you standing around for? Hurry up and bring out the food!"
Gamos prompted the waiter, who had been stunned speechless. Only then did the waiter snap out of it.
He called over a whole group of servers, and they began bringing out food assembly-line style.
After polishing off an octopus, Gamos licked his lips, still wanting more, then launched into a whole roast pig.
Meanwhile, Vegeta and Sun Wukong each took a spoon in one hand and chopsticks in the other, slurping down huge bowls of ramen. They grabbed cakes and stuffed them into their mouths, along with all kinds of sushi and unfamiliar dishes. If it was edible, they didn't leave a bite behind.
Who knew what kind of restaurant this was? It served everything, from Chinese and Western dishes to specialties from all over. All the chefs worked together, barely managing to keep up with the Saiyans' assault.
While the group was wolfing down their food, Shin arrived on the planet with his attendant, Kibito Kai.
"Majin Buu's aura is coming from that direction. There are a lot of people living there. Damn it, has Majin Buu started slaughtering them?"
The two immediately flew toward the area where Gamos was, finally stopping atop a tall building.
"Supreme Kai, there doesn't seem to be any sign of fighting here. Everything looks peaceful."
Shin also found it strange. He used the Supreme Kai's divine sight to inspect what was happening below.
Then he saw something astonishing: Majin Buu was having a meal with a group of people, eating happily and enjoying himself.
Looking at the happy smile on Majin Buu's face, he didn't look like a bad guy at all.
"W-what's going on?"
Shin's eyes widened. The wicked Majin Buu was actually so easygoing, competing with a group of people for food and smiling the whole time. What on earth was going on?
And why could all these people eat so much? Just look at the mountain of plates on the table. There had to be enough food there for over a hundred people!
Gamos suddenly sensed something. He couldn't feel anything, but his sixth sense told him someone was watching him.
Then Gamos looked in the direction of the Supreme Kai. His King Kai Antenna activated, and he spotted them at once.
"Oh no, we've been spotted."
The Supreme Kai and Kibito Kai were both shocked. Someone had actually noticed them.
Sun Wukong also noticed Gamos acting strangely and asked without thinking.
"What's wrong?"
"Someone's watching us."
Gamos was a little speechless. It was one thing for Majin Buu to show up early, but why had the Supreme Kai shown up early too?
But then he thought about it and realized it made sense. The Supreme Kai had been pursuing the wizard Babidi all along, trying to stop Majin Buu from being revived.
Now that Sun Wukong and Vegeta had brought Majin Buu out, Shin, as the Supreme Kai, would naturally know right away.
In this universe, Majin Buu's strength made him practically the strongest, if you didn't count the Gods of Destruction. And since he also had the Grand Supreme Kai's divine power inside him, it wasn't strange that the Supreme Kai had sensed him immediately.
Sun Wukong placed one hand on Gamos's shoulder. Curious, Vegeta placed his hand on Gamos's other shoulder. Krillin and Yamcha followed suit, and then everyone saw the red-skinned alien atop the building, along with a short fellow with a comb-shaped head.
"Who are they?"
Knowing he'd been found out, Shin could only sigh helplessly and speak up.
"Let's go down."
"But, Supreme Kai..."
"They've already spotted us, and they don't seem to have any evil energy. It's better to meet them openly than to hide."
Shin was an honest, kindly man, so he flew straight down.
When he arrived at the hotel, Shin was the first to greet them.
"Hello."
"Hi, I'm Sun Wukong. Want to join us for something to eat?"
Sun Wukong stuffed a huge chicken leg into his mouth and spoke indistinctly.
Seeing the other man's face slick with grease, Shin's mouth twitched. "No, thank you."
The others sensed that Shin didn't have an aura and didn't seem very strong, so they paid him little mind and kept eating.
Majin Buu picked up a huge bottle of cola and gulped it all down. Only then did he notice Shin.
"Huh? I feel like I've seen you somewhere before."
Majin Buu looked confused. Shin seemed familiar, but he couldn't quite remember where he'd seen him.
Hearing that Majin Buu had seen him before, Shin immediately stumbled back a few steps in fright. When Majin Buu showed no sign of attacking, he stammered out a reply.
"You... you must be mistaken!"
"Supreme Kai!"
Kibito Kai quickly caught Shin, whose legs were going weak.
After finishing the last fish, Gamos patted his belly and let out a burp. That had been one satisfying meal!
Come to think of it, when had Vegeta gotten so rich? Had he hooked up with some rich woman? If so, did that mean Kid Trunks would be born soon?
Gamos shot Vegeta a knowing look. Vegeta immediately grew uncomfortable and snapped, "What are you staring at? What's with that look?"
"Vegeta, come clean. You've got enough money to treat everyone to dinner. Did you latch onto a rich woman?"
Vegeta's face turned red. "What are you talking about? I'm the Saiyan Prince! How could I ever live off a woman?"
See? He was getting worked up. He'd practically confessed without meaning to.
Gamos covered his mouth and chuckled. He knew better than to say it out loud, especially with Yamcha sitting right there.
Having an ex and a current partner eating together was bound to be awkward, wasn't it?
While everyone was laughing and chatting, Piccolo sat nearby, curiously studying the Supreme Kai. He felt there was some connection between them, and he also felt an invisible pressure whenever he faced him.
The pressure was faint, so faint it could be ignored, but it was undeniably there.
"Who are you, exactly?"
The Supreme Kai looked at Piccolo and immediately saw through him.
He was the Earth Guardian's other half. Though he wasn't the Guardian, he was inseparably connected to him, so it was only natural that he could sense something unusual about the Supreme Kai.
At this point, Piccolo hadn't yet fused with the Guardian. So he didn't know who the other man was; he could only vaguely sense that the other man could exert a degree of pressure on him through his connection to the Guardian.
"I'll explain later. Once they've finished eating, we'll find somewhere private."
