After finishing their meal, everyone went their separate ways. Krillin and Yamcha continued roaming the universe. The two had joined the Galactic Patrol and were now its strongest fighters. They could finally take care of some organizations they hadn't dared to provoke before.
Next, the two still had to fight Cooler's Armored Squadron, so they had no time to linger here.
They came to an uninhabited area, where Gamos turned to Sun Wukong and asked,
"What about Gohan and Launch? Aren't they training?"
"Gohan's still in school. He only trains with us during the holidays. Launch went to see Kami and is learning how to control ki."
So Son Gohan still couldn't escape the fate of going to school. Poor kid.
"Everyone, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Shin, and I am the current Supreme Kai."
"What's a Supreme Kai?"
Sun Wukong looked confused. Beside him, Kibito Kai snorted.
"The Supreme Kai is the greatest god in this universe, the highest-ranking figure of all."
"Oh, I remember now. They're like the Gods of Devastation. One is in charge of creation, and the other is in charge of destruction."
Kibito Kai's reminder brought to mind the twelve-universe system Gamos had told him about.
"What God of Devastation?"
Shin asked in confusion.
"The god who shares a life with you!"
Shin still didn't quite understand. But that wasn't the point. As far as he was concerned, the most urgent matter was dealing with Majin Buu.
"Everyone, I don't think you understand how terrifying Majin Buu is, so I'd like to ask for your help."
As he spoke, he cautiously glanced at Majin Buu beside him.
"There used to be five Supreme Kais, and Majin Buu didn't look the way he does now. He looked like a child."
Shin then told them how Kid Buu had slaughtered the Supreme Kais. Everyone listened in stunned silence.
Even Majin Buu looked puzzled. When had he ever done those things?
"So Majin Buu is unquestionably an extremely evil and powerful being."
"Shut up! I never did any of the things you're talking about. Damn it, how dare you slander me?"
Majin Buu angrily cut him off. His usually narrowed eyes opened, revealing just how furious he was.
There were so many powerful people here, especially those two blue Saiyans who had just left. They were terrifyingly strong. Now this guy was trying to frame him—was he trying to get him killed?
He hadn't done any of those things, yet he'd been accused out of nowhere. Majin Buu felt terribly wronged.
"Y-you... What are you going to do?"
Shin was frightened and couldn't help taking two steps back. Kibito Kai immediately stepped in front of him.
Sun Wukong and Vegeta watched the two sides and couldn't help feeling conflicted. Which one of them was telling the truth?
"Gamos, you're the smartest one here. Who do you think is telling the truth?"
Gamos knew the answer, but he pretended to think for a moment before speaking.
"If I'm not mistaken, they're both telling the truth."
"Huh? They clearly aren't saying the same thing. How could they both be telling the truth?"
Gamos ignored the others and looked at Shin.
"According to you, Majin Buu originally looked like a child and was extremely evil. But he looks completely different now from the way you described him."
"So my initial guess is that absorbing others affects Majin Buu. As you said, the Grand Supreme Kai was a very righteous person. After Majin Buu absorbed him, he may well have been influenced by his righteous heart."
"Majin Buu must have merged with that righteous heart, which is why he looks the way he does now. Of course, that's only my guess."
Hearing Gamos's explanation, everyone understood. Even Shin trembled.
"So that's what happened? Grand Supreme Kai, you... You truly were magnificent. You managed to cleanse Majin Buu of his evil thoughts!"
Shin was overcome with emotion. The Grand Supreme Kai had sacrificed himself to protect Shin, and even after dying, he had still helped cleanse Majin Buu.
"Does that mean Super Buu is the Grand Supreme Kai now?"
Everyone turned to look at Majin Buu again. Seeing him standing there blankly, they could hardly imagine that he was a wise old man who had lived for over a hundred million years.
Noticing everyone staring at him, Majin Buu shyly scratched his head.
"Everyone, you can keep talking. I have things to do, so I'll be going."
With Majin Buu's situation settled, Gamos said his goodbyes and left. He still had to deal with the Androids and check on how Ginyu was doing.
After Gamos left, Sun Wukong and Vegeta also took their leave, saying they needed to train.
"I'm going to train, too."
Piccolo turned around, preparing to leave as well.
"Me too! Me too! You're all going to train. It must be really fun!"
The innocent Majin Buu followed Piccolo away, leaving only the Supreme Kai and his attendant, Kibito Kai, behind.
"Supreme Kai, what should we do?"
Shin thought it over, then said,
"Majin Buu is no longer evil, so there's no reason for us to oppose him. Let's go back!"
The two of them used Instant Transmission and left Earth.
At the Lookout, Gamos immediately spotted two Launches.
One of them was sitting cross-legged in meditation, apparently sensing the surrounding nature to improve her mental strength and gain better control over her power.
The other had a full-length mirror in front of her and was striking strange poses all by herself.
"Hyah! Behold, Captain Ginyu!"
Seeing Ginyu strike awkward poses in the body of the beautiful Launch, Gamos suddenly felt like laughing.
"Pfft! Hahaha!"
In the end, he couldn't hold it in and burst out laughing. Hearing the laughter behind him, Ginyu turned around and saw Gamos doubled over.
"What are you laughing at? This is a new pose I came up with. It's super cool, okay?"
As he spoke, Ginyu started posing again.
He spread his left hand, palm facing outward, and held it in front of his left chest. He raised his clenched right fist above his head, bent forward, and stretched his right leg out to the side while bending his left. Then he shouted,
"Ginyu!"
The pose was so ridiculous that Gamos burst out laughing again.
"Damn it, stop laughing! You little brat—you don't have a shred of artistic sense!"
At Ginyu's exasperated words, Gamos laughed so hard he rolled on the ground.
Launch, who had been meditating, suddenly opened her eyes. Seeing Gamos laughing away, she raised a hand and fired a small ki blast at him.
The next second, Gamos was blasted away. "I'll be back!"
Three seconds later, the Gamos who had been blown away really did fly back.
"Launch, you didn't have to hit me that hard!"
"Hmph. By age, you should be calling me Auntie."
"Oh, Sister Launch is young and beautiful, and still unmarried. You'll be eighteen forever!"
Launch was quite pleased by his flattery.
"Your little friend is adorable. All right, I'll look after you from now on."
Blonde Launch patted her chest as she promised. The little guy was really interesting. If it weren't for him, who knew where she'd be now?
"Hey, hey, don't ignore me!"
Captain Ginyu wasn't happy. Was his presence really that easy to overlook?
Just then, Kami and Mr. Popo walked out of the palace. When they saw Gamos, they both smiled.
"Gamos, I've heard so much about you. This is the first time we've met in person!"
"Haha, that's right. I'm here to take Ginyu with me. He can't stay here forever. Once I find him a body, I'll let him leave Earth."
As soon as Gamos finished speaking, Launch put an arm around his neck.
"At least you have a conscience. I thought you were going to let Ginyu use my body forever!"
"Of course not. Sister Launch is so beautiful; how could I let your body end up elsewhere? Besides, Captain Ginyu wants a body he can fight in too, right?"
Noticing Gamos's gaze, Ginyu hurriedly answered,
"That's right. As the captain of the Ginyu Force, I need a powerful body. I still have to go back and serve King Frieza."
After speaking, Ginyu struck another strange pose.
"Then where are you going to find a body?"
Launch was curious. Had Gamos already found someone in mind?
"An Android, of course! I'm about to set out. Want to come along?"
"Of course! I've been training here for so long that I can control my power perfectly now. It's about time I went out and had some fun!"
As a hardened bandit, Launch was every bit as eager for battle as a Saiyan. Now that she had the body of a fused Saiyan, she was even less inclined to sit still.
"Great, then let's go!"
Gamos immediately used King Kai's communication function to contact Sun Wukong and Vegeta, asking them to come meet him.
At their current strength, the two could circle the Earth in just a few seconds. They soon arrived at the Lookout.
"Gamos, what did you call us for?"
"Is there an enemy you can't beat, so you're asking this prince for help?"
Sun Wukong was still the same simpleton, and Vegeta was still the same arrogant man.
"Come with me. We're going somewhere to find something fun."
Gamos flew off in a certain direction. Launch took her other self along and followed.
Sun Wukong and Vegeta exchanged a glance, then followed them.
The five of them arrived in a desolate mountain region. Gamos used the King Kai Antenna to search underground and quickly found a highly concealed underground laboratory.
An old man was conducting experiments inside, with experimental pods all around him.
"Found it."
Gamos used Instant Transmission and disappeared, reappearing behind Dr. Gero.
The other four couldn't sense what was happening underground, but once Gamos went in, they could use his ki to locate him.
With another flash, the four of them instantly appeared in the underground laboratory.
