Perfect Resolution

Back on the ground, Gamos and Launch weren't the only ones who had come out this time. Three more Androids had joined them: Android 16, Android 17, and Android 18.

Watching the three fighters battling in the sky, Gamos asked,

"I've removed Dr. Gero's mental control over you and canceled your mission. What are you planning to do now?"

Android 17 rolled his wrists, feeling his body, which had been modified who knew how many times, then thought it over before replying,

"I don't have anywhere in particular to go. I'll travel around for a while and do whatever I feel like."

"Yeah, that sounds like a pretty good choice. Still, please obey the law. Don't use your strength to do anything outrageous."

Gamos meant to give them a warning, lest they turn out as wicked as they were in the original future!

"Hey, hey, hey, you little brat. You sure have a lot to say. How strong are you, anyway? Want to fight?"

Android 18 had a short temper and immediately snapped back. Some half-grown kid thought he could lecture her? He clearly didn't know his place. She ought to teach him how harsh the world could be.

"Come on, Gamos is only thinking about what's best for Earth!"

Launch, now sporting blue hair, stepped between them and separated the two. The last thing they needed was an actual clash!

Gamos only smiled faintly and said nothing more.

Meanwhile, Sun Wukong and the other two were sprawled miserably on the ground, lying in starfish poses. Their clothes were in tatters, and their bodies were covered in wounds of all sizes. They looked utterly wretched.

Ginyu had now returned to Android 13's original appearance: a tall, imposing tennis prince.

"I never thought I, Ginyu, would have such a glorious moment! I actually defeated two Super Saiyans! King Frieza will be so happy when he hears about this!"

"Tch, what a loser. You're this strong, and you're still thinking about Frieza. Besides, you only barely cut it as a training partner for now. We'll soon break through to a higher level. You're nothing compared to us scrap metal."

Vegeta couldn't help taking jabs at Ginyu's loyalty. Maybe he just hated being reminded of his own disgraceful past!

"Goku, if just one Android 13 is this strong, do you think there are even stronger Androids in the underground laboratory?"

Sun Wukong recalled what he'd seen in the basement. He thought he'd seen Androids 16, 17, and 18 beside Android 13.

At Sun Wukong's words, Vegeta's expression instantly darkened.

If Android 13 was already this powerful, the later models had to be newer, and therefore even more terrifying. How could he, the mighty Saiyan Prince, be outclassed by a bunch of scrap metal? It was infuriating.

"So what if they're a bunch of scrap metal? Once I break through to Super Saiyan Third Grade, I'll smash every one of those Androids to pieces."

"Is that so? Someone wants to smash me to pieces?"

Just as Vegeta finished making his threat, a mocking voice came from nearby.

In the next moment, Android 17 appeared right above Vegeta, bending over to look down at him as he lay on the ground.

Vegeta was startled. He sprang to his feet and instinctively assumed a fighting stance.

Sun Wukong and Ginyu also stood up, all of them curiously eyeing the newcomer.

The others flew over as well. Gamos cleared his throat and began,

"Allow me to introduce them. This is Android 17, and this is Android 18. They're the latest models, created by modifying humans."

"Their energy reactors are the latest infinite-energy models. They have unlimited stamina in battle, and their strength is every bit as great as yours. They can also grow stronger through training."

"This is Android 16, a pure robot with human thoughts. He has the power to destroy the world and can easily overpower the two of you."

The more the others heard Gamos's introduction, the more shocked they became. Vegeta was especially affected; his expression changed as he looked at the Androids.

Unlimited stamina, strength on par with his own, and the ability to keep growing stronger through training. These terrifying beings had been created by humans—and might even be mass-produced. It was simply unbelievable.

Thinking back on the past, the King of the Saiyans had always been proud of a battle power of 12,000. Now that seemed laughable.

Just how many terrifying, unknown beings were there on this seemingly defenseless Earth?

For some reason, Vegeta had a feeling that these Androids weren't even the strongest. The power of technology could be truly chilling.

Sun Wukong looked at Android 17 with a serious expression too.

"I had no idea Androids could be this powerful and still get stronger. You don't seem like a bad person, which is a good thing—otherwise, you'd be a real problem."

As he spoke, Sun Wukong offered his hand first and smiled.

"Hello, I'm Sun Wukong. My Saiyan name is Kakarot. I look forward to working with you. Let's get stronger together and protect Earth."

Seeing how harmless the other man seemed, Android 17 held out his hand and shook it.

"Yeah. We'll definitely get stronger."

The data Dr. Gero had given them said that they were the strongest Androids and could defeat anyone. But after being activated, they'd discovered that there were so many powerful people in the world. It seemed things wouldn't be boring after all.

Watching this harmonious scene, Prince Vegeta snorted and turned his head away with a haughty air.

And so, Earth gained three more protectors: the Androids.

Judging by the timeline, Future Trunks should arrive soon. Of course, there was no guarantee that this would happen.

Given everything that had happened so far, this timeline didn't belong to any of the timelines in the original story. That meant Future Trunks might never come to this world.

Some time ago, Gamos had used his King Kai Antenna to search all over Earth. He hadn't found Cell, who had traveled back from the future, or another Time Machine.

That meant this world and the Main Timeline weren't part of the same branch. This made things difficult.

Still, Gamos could handle whatever came his way. He had the greatest talent for learning, so what did he have to fear?

If things really came down to it, he could turn everyone on Earth into Androids and have them scatter across the universe. Once even one of them grew strong enough, they'd have the means to fight back.

Once he finished his last experiment, he'd take Sun Wukong and Vegeta to visit other timelines. While they were at it, he'd find Sun Wukong some effective medicine for the Heart Virus in the future.

Ginyu had served his purpose. It was time to send him back.

Android 13's body could also grow stronger. First, Gamos would send him back to motivate Frieza, so he could experience what it felt like to be surpassed by his own subordinate and train even harder. Gamos was really looking forward to seeing Frieza's Black Gold Form!
