Organization

History
Five Guardian Ninja, including a Konoha member, die defending the Daimyo from an attack. The Daimyo sends envoys to Konoha to select a replacement. Uchiha Chen recommends Sarutobi Asuma and also puts forward Chiriku of the Fire Temple; both are accepted 171 173 175.
Years later, the organization splits between Asuma’s pro-Hokage faction and Kazuma’s anti-Hokage faction. Four members covering Asuma and Chiriku’s retreat die in the conflict. Asuma and Chiriku return to Konoha for help, and Uchiha Chen accompanies them to the capital 190 196.
At the capital, Asuma and Chiriku find themselves accused of assassinating the former Daimyo. Kazuma remains beside the new Daimyo as leader of the Guardian Ninja, while the dispute unfolds in the Great Hall. After Chen exposes Kazuma and the Chief Minister, the remaining guards stand down on the new Daimyo’s order. Chen later tells the new Daimyo that Konoha and the Fire Temple will no longer provide personnel for the force 196 197 200 202.
