Sasuke first appears alongside Boruto in Ōtsutsuki Town after traveling more than a thousand years into the past. Initially disoriented by the altered era, he confronts Ōtsutsuki Yuhao and is decisively overpowered; Yuhao nevertheless recognizes Sasuke's strength and true origin. 7 8

During the conflict with Ōtsutsuki Urashiki, Sasuke joins Indra and Asura in resisting the invader. After Urashiki's defeat, Ōtsutsuki Tatsuten teaches him how Rinnegan abilities can be reproduced as ninjutsu through specialized hand seals.
