Background / History

Su Ling recalls a difficult past life in which he came from a single-parent family, left school early because of financial hardship, and struggled to live alone. In his current life, he states that he has no parents and grew up through others' charity. 4

For six years before coming to Shrek, Su Ling deliberately maintained the appearance of a harmless, foolish village boy in order to evade Tang God King's scrutiny. Once that surveillance diminished, he used a Plane Masking Temporary Card to conceal himself and traveled to Shrek City to develop through the system. 1 11

He obtains the Dark Evil Qilin Martial Soul and a Sumeru Ring through his system. After fusing with the Thunderous Hell Vine, his martial soul evolves into the dual-form Thunder Prison Qilin Emperor and Dark Evil Qilin Emperor. The initial fusion devastates the surrounding land and leaves behind a dark, evil aura. 2

Xuan Zi finds Su Ling near the Star Dou Great Forest, discovers his innate Rank 20 soul power, and personally helps him hunt soul rings. Su Ling kills a Thunder-Shock Tiger and a Three-Eyed Lightning Owl, then absorbs both thousand-year rings with virtually no resistance from their remaining wills. 2 4
