Background

Qian Qizhou is the son of Pope Qian Xunji, grandson of Qian Daoliu, and Bibi Dong's son. During his martial soul awakening at age six, his Six-Winged Angel martial soul is altered through contact with Raiden Ei, who gives him the name King and power over lightning, holy light, and fire. Feeling rejected by both parents—particularly after Qian Xunji refuses to meet him on his birthday—Qian Qizhou resolves to sever his ties with Spirit Hall and live by his own strength. 1

After unleashing his new power over the Pope Palace, Qian Qizhou collapses from overload. Ei removes him from Spirit City, while Guang Ling eventually finds him injured and starving in the wilderness. Ning Fengzhi treats his damaged meridians at the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect, where Qian Qizhou begins a new life outside Spirit Hall. 2 4 5

Ei later brings his consciousness to the Plane of Euthymia, reveals that his power originates from her, gifts him the naginata Engulfing Lightning, and personally begins instructing him in martial arts. 6

Appearance

Qian Qizhou's appearance changes alongside his martial soul. His originally black eyes become flowing elemental energy: one purple and one gold, with minute lightning patterns rotating within his irises. 1
