Background / History

Ei first contacts Qian Qizhou during his martial soul awakening, drawing his consciousness into a star-filled void. There, she identifies herself as Beelzebul, the God of Lightning, tells him that Electro power already exists within his body, and grants him power that transforms his Six-Winged Angel martial soul into King 1.

When Qian Qizhou collapses after destroying the Pope Palace and attempting to leave Spirit Hall, Ei manifests through a lightning-filled spatial rift. She repels Qian Daoliu, carries Qian Qizhou away, overwhelms the Spirit Hall elders who oppose her, and leaves through a spatial rift with him 2 3. As her projection's time runs out, she places the unconscious Qian Qizhou in a cave before vanishing 4.

Ei later summons Qian Qizhou's consciousness to the Plane of Euthymia, her inner world. She confirms that his power originates from her, gives him the naginata Engulfing Lightning, and personally begins instructing him in martial arts 6. She also modifies the space beneath the Seven Treasures Glazed Sect, sealing and renovating it before departing through another rift 9.

After Qian Qizhou is emotionally shaken by the truth surrounding his family, Ei again receives him in the Plane of Euthymia. Rather than console him verbally, she duels him and teaches him that strength is necessary to claim the right to choose one's own fate and protect others 22.

Ei intervenes during Qian Qizhou's attempt to save the Snow Empress from heavenly tribulation. Her lightning neutralizes the destructive energy consuming him and allows his body to begin healing 25. She later disappears from the Plane of Euthymia; a lightning orb reveals fragmented visions suggesting that Qian Qizhou and Ei shared a close bond in a past life, ending with his death and Ei's grief 33. Five years later, Qian Qizhou still cannot contact or locate her 34.
