Background / History

Tang Hao was one of the “Clear Sky Duo” and a disciple of the Clear Sky Sect. He married Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor spirit beast in human form, and they had an infant son. 11

Spirit Hall pursued Tang Hao’s family to seize Ah Yin. Though wounded and surrounded by Qian Xunji, Ghost Douluo, Chrysanthemum Douluo, and other Spirit Hall masters, Tang Hao refused to surrender her. 11 12

Ah Yin ultimately chose to sacrifice herself to save Tang Hao and their child. In grief and rage, Tang Hao detonated his spirit rings and used the Great Sumeru Hammer, severely wounding Qian Xunji, Ghost Douluo, and Chrysanthemum Douluo. He was left critically injured by the backlash. 12 13

Qian Qizhou then offered to restore Ah Yin’s life essence in exchange for her hundred-thousand-year soul bone. Tang Hao accepted, and Qian Qizhou restored Ah Yin as a Blue Silver Emperor plant with her fundamental spiritual consciousness preserved. Tang Hao fled the battlefield with Ah Yin and their child afterward. 13 14

News later spread that Tang Hao had become the continent’s youngest Title Douluo and killed Qian Xunji. Spirit Hall declared war on the Clear Sky Sect; the sect publicly expelled Tang Hao, but Spirit Hall rejected the claim that his actions were unrelated to the sect. 17 25
