Xue Qinghe attends a meeting with Heaven Dou Academy’s three chief instructors when Qin Yue reports the arrival of Lan Yu and Tang Shan. Once their exceptional ages, soul power, and spirit-ring configurations are disclosed, he recognizes their strategic value and supports binding them to the Heaven Dou Empire through resources and protection. 21 22

Behind the Crown Prince identity, Xue Qinghe is Qian Renxue. She uses the imperial position to recruit Lan Yu while intending to secure him for Spirit Hall, reasoning that Heaven Dou’s wealth and resources can make him loyal to her. 22

At Lanya Pavilion, Qian Renxue temporarily has Snake Spear Douluo impersonate Xue Qinghe, allowing her to appear openly as “Xue Qianluo,” Xue Qinghe’s sworn sister. Her plan is to approach Lan Yu from both identities and exploit his presumed desire for familial affection. 27

Following the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s attack on Heaven Dou Academy, Xue Qinghe personally arrives with imperial forces to handle the captured Yu Tianheng and Yu Luomian. Seeking Lan Yu’s favor and determined to demonstrate the Empire’s protection, she orders Yu Luomian’s covert execution despite pressure connected to Emperor Xue Ye. 57 58

As Lan Yu’s influence grows, Qian Renxue becomes increasingly emotionally invested in him. As Qian Renxue, he is competitive toward those whose talent exceeds his own, particularly Lan Yu. He tests Lan Yu’s combat ability, probes his views on the continent’s factions, and repeatedly attempts to cultivate personal closeness with him. 23 27 28

He can also be forceful and vindictive when his interests are threatened. When Lan Yu and Tang Shan disappear, he angrily orders Snake Lance and Pufferfish to capture Dugu Bo, then redirects them against members of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. 39

Xue Qinghe is capable of cold decisiveness beneath his benevolent public demeanor. He exploits Yu Luomian’s capture to eliminate him under the cover story that he died in a northern soul beast forest, both punishing the clan’s crimes and currying favor with Lan Yu. 58
