Background

Zhu Zhuqing traveled from the Star Luo Empire toward the Heaven Dou Empire to find her fiancé, Dai Mubai. Before reaching the border, she was attacked by soul beasts and rescued by Ye Xuan. She hired him as an escort to Soto City, paying him 100 gold soul coins after their journey ended. 1 2

Although initially devoted to Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing became disillusioned after witnessing his conduct in Soto City and his hostility toward Ye Xuan. She resolved to annul their engagement, and Ye Xuan challenged Dai Mubai on her behalf. After Dai Mubai lost the witnessed martial-soul duel, he was required to accept the annulment. 2 10 11

She later left Shrek Academy with Ye Xuan while retaining her student status, choosing to continue her cultivation under his guidance. 20 22

Personality

Zhu Zhuqing is resolute and values her personal dignity. Despite having traveled a great distance for Dai Mubai, she refused to remain bound to him once she recognized his behavior and firmly insisted on ending their engagement. 2 10
