Background / History

After Qian Jue’s parents died, Long Yeyue led people to retrieve him from an orphanage and secretly raised him as Elder Bei’s remaining descendant. Her resentment toward Qian Jue stemmed from seeing the features of her late husband, Elder Bei, in the child’s appearance, alongside her unresolved feelings for Chen Xinjie. Her history with Chen Xinjie, Elder Bei, and the miscarriage she suffered after the trauma of witnessing a wedding left her emotionally scarred. 1

She raised Qian Jue through physical violence, verbal abuse, confinement, poor living conditions, and threats of withholding food. She fed him rice water rather than proper meals, made him sleep on a hard wooden board, and locked him inside his residence. Although she briefly suppressed his injuries with soul power after scalding him, she dismissed his pain and left him alone. 1 2 7 14

When Qian Jue disappeared and joined the Spirit Pagoda under Leng Yaozhu, Long Yeyue considered his choice a betrayal. She ordered Lan Muzi to retrieve him and sought to force his return to Shrek. 7 12

After Yun Ming refused to escalate Shrek’s conflict with the Spirit Pagoda, Long Yeyue secretly left Shrek City to personally reclaim Qian Jue. Di Tian and Xiong Jun had been waiting for this opportunity on Gu Yue’s orders, while Qiangu Qingfeng joined the attack to settle his own grudge. 26 27

Personality

Long Yeyue is portrayed as volatile, possessive, and deeply resentful. She redirects unresolved grief and jealousy toward Qian Jue, treating his independence as ingratitude rather than a response to her abuse. 1 12 21

She is fiercely attached to Shrek Academy’s prestige and hostile toward the Spirit Pagoda. Her past conflict with the organization includes publicly slapping former Pagoda Master Qiangu Dieting, an act that nearly escalated into open war; her eventual apology was only made after mediation and concessions from the Spirit Pagoda. 1 12 37

Despite briefly worrying that Qian Jue’s burns might become infected, she responds to his absence with anger rather than accountability. Yun Ming later directly states that she was in the wrong and should apologize if Qian Jue returns; she gives no answer. 7 21

Even after her injuries mostly heal, she remains angered by Qian Jue and his companions defeating Shrek’s representatives in the Skysea Alliance Grand Competition.
