Background / History
Gu Yue is the Dragon God's half-body and inherited part of the Dragon God's memories. She recognizes Qian Jue as the reincarnation of Tiamat—the Dragon Venerable and her creator—from their first meeting, immediately becoming devoted to him. Her memories concerning Qian Jue remain especially clear despite other losses. 3 6
Before meeting Qian Jue, Gu Yue had made a wager with Na'er involving a portion of her origin power and the revival of soul beasts. After Qian Jue absorbs the Tyrannosaurus Rex spirit soul, she unilaterally voids the wager and concedes, deciding that winning Qian Jue takes priority over her former objectives. 5
She asks Leng Yaozhu to accept Qian Jue as her junior brother, then accompanies him to East Sea Academy after learning he wishes to study there. 4 6
Gu Yue and Na'er later reflect on the Dragon God's madness and the deaths of the Nine Great Dragon Kings. Although Gu Yue bears guilt as one half of the Dragon God, the two temporarily put aside their rivalry in recognition of their shared past. 32
During the expedition to Dragon Valley, resonance between Dai Xiaojiu and the Dragon God's Heart replenishes Gu Yue's previously incomplete origin. She subsequently becomes a complete Silver Dragon King. 80
Appearance
Gu Yue initially presents herself as a black-haired girl whose appearance is described as plain to delicate, offset by an unusually mysterious and aloof temperament. Her eyes are deep purple. This ordinary appearance was a deliberate presentation connected to her former wager with Na'er. 3 4 80
After her origin is replenished, Gu Yue reveals her true appearance: a striking silver-haired girl with hair reaching her ankles, nearly translucent pale skin, refined features, and silver-gray eyes that retain traces of draconic vertical pupils. 80
- Usually maintains a cold, composed exterior despite intense private emotions. 4 7
- Has an elemental-controller martial soul, also identified as the Elemental Envoy. 4 8
- Possesses comparatively low physical strength but exceptional spiritual power: roughly 300 kilograms of strength and 233 spiritual-power points. 24
- Can transform into an enormous silver dragon, with silver scales marked by a nine-colored halo and silver eyes containing starlight. 80
Personality
Gu Yue is intensely affectionate and possessive toward Qian Jue. She falls for him at first sight, seeks frequent physical closeness, calls herself his family, and regards protecting him as a personal priority. 4 7 11 14
Her attachment is also competitive. She is hostile toward perceived rivals for Qian Jue's attention, particularly Xie Xie and Na'er, argues with Tang Wulin over leadership of Class Five, and intervenes when Xu Xiaoyan attempts to invite Qian Jue to dinner alone. 10 24 29 53
Despite this, she is observant and decisive. After hearing Qian Jue speak in his sleep about being hit by “Grandma,” she orders Di Tian to investigate his suspected abuse and permits him to deal with the responsible party. 7 She can also set aside conflict with Na'er temporarily when reflecting on the Dragon God's fate. 32
Gu Yue briefly questions whether her identity and love for Qian Jue are genuine after considering the possibility that the Dragon God may have reincarnated. Qian Jue reassures her that, by his side, she is simply Gu Yue rather than only the Silver Dragon King. 64
