Blue Silver Grass first manifests as Tang San’s martial soul. Its coexistence with his full innate spirit power draws Yu Xiaogang’s attention; Yu argues that such an ordinary plant martial soul should not be capable of supporting that level of innate power and concludes that Tang San must possess a second, stronger martial soul 9.

During Tang San’s first soul-ring hunt, Qian Renyuan’s interference leaves him injured and unable to obtain a suitable century-level ring. Tang San ultimately kills and absorbs a Ten-Year Solitary Bamboo, permanently giving Blue Silver Grass a white first soul ring and its widely mocked Blue Silver Pole Vault skill 25 26.

After losing his right eye in Sunset Forest, Tang San seeks a way to strengthen or transform Blue Silver Grass. Qian Renyuan exploits this goal by planting false herbology information that lures Tang San to the already-harvested Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well 57 61.
