Tang San is a God King who treats Douluo Continent as a crucial component of his long-term plans. He selected Huo Yuhao as the continent's Son of Destiny and placed divine contingencies around him, Wang Dong, and Shrek Academy. 38 39

Tang San senses danger through Wang Dong's divine-sense imprint and descends an avatar to Shrek Academy. He prevents Gu An from finishing Huo Yuhao, then instructs Mu En to properly cultivate Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong as the only pair capable of confronting Gu An. 38

The Dog Leash Plan

After witnessing Gu An's ten-thousand-year first soul ring, Soul Spirit capability, and extraordinary talent, Tang San concludes that Gu An is as valuable as Huo Yuhao. He activates a plan to control Gu An rather than immediately destroy him. 39

Tang San later attempts to redirect Wang Dong toward Gu An, hoping that the connection will tether Gu An to the Tang family after Huo Yuhao loses value as a chosen successor. 163 164

Rebellion of Tang Qi and Wang Dong

Tang Qi and Wang Dong discover that Tang San divided Xiao Qi's divine consciousness and treated them as tools. When Tang San commands them to capture Gu An, they instead unite against him and unleash their Martial Soul Fusion Skill, Dragon God's Light. 170 171

Their allies join the assault, and Xing Yi traps Tang San's divine-sense avatar in a starlight barrier. The avatar is driven back to the God Realm in a damaged state. 171

Tang San discovers that Gu An is using the Golden Ancient Tree to transfer Douluo Continent's World Origin into the hidden Legend of the Dragon King Douluo Planet. Seeing the planet's potential to become a God Realm, he tries to seize it with the Sea God Trident rather than report it to the other God Kings. 169
