Background / History

Huo Yuhao is identified as a Child of Destiny favored by deities. Gu An and Leng Yaozhu initially seek him in the Star Dou Great Forest to seize the Sky Dream Ice Worm and Electrolux, but Electrolux rescues Huo Yuhao before they can do so 4.

After surviving the encounter with a Wind Baboon, Huo Yuhao becomes a one-ring Soul Master. Beibei and Tang Ya find him unconscious near a dead Lone Bamboo; afterward, he reveals his unique first soul ring and extra martial-soul slot, while resolving to take revenge on the Titled Douluo and the boy involved in the attack 6.

He joins the Tang Sect and travels to Shrek Academy with Tang Ya and Beibei. There, his first meeting with his roommate Wang Dong becomes a fight, which he wins by using Soul Shock 9. During the freshman assessment, he and Wang Dong fail to activate their Martial Soul Fusion Skill because it is still on a seven-day cooldown; they are defeated by Dai Huabin and Zhu Lu’s Nether White Tiger, and Huo Yuhao resents Xiao Xiao for failing to hold the fusion skill back longer 23.

After Electrolux takes control of his body during the aftermath of that defeat, Leng Yaozhu suppresses Electrolux’s power and Huo Yuhao faints 24. He later faces Gu An alongside Wang Dong in a two-on-one soul fight, employing spiritual detection sharing, Mental Shock, and a sneak attack. He ultimately attempts to assassinate Gu An with a one-use Level 1 Fixed Soul Guidance Cannon, but Gu An’s Green Blade Falcon Soul Spirit protects him 32 34 35.

Gu An subsequently severely injures him during an attack on Shrek Academy. Huo Yuhao leaves Shrek alone afterward, unaware that Elder Mu En has assigned Qian Duoduo to secretly protect him 38 45. His journey through the Far North ends with him critically injured and rescued by Vina and Bone Douluo of the Body Sect 60 65.

Although initially wary, Huo Yuhao stays with the Body Sect to recover and pursue a second awakening for his Body Martial Soul. Du Busi first tries to kill him upon learning that he is from Shrek, then accepts him after Vina reveals his Body Martial Soul and Elder White Bone’s interest in him 65 87. His impatience grows as Du Busi insists that he first establish a proper foundation 144.

Personality

Huo Yuhao is driven by resentment, ambition, and a persistent desire for revenge. After first becoming a Soul Master, he vows revenge against those he believes wronged him; later setbacks—especially Gu An’s repeated interference—intensify this hostility 6 51 113 114.

He can be impatient and dismissive of others’ concerns. When Xiao Xiao asks him and Wang Dong for advice about adding a soul ring to her second martial soul, he shows little concern and urges her to follow Zhou Yi’s advice, contributing to Xiao Xiao’s feeling of being undervalued 21. His impatience also defines his time in the Body Sect, where he presses Du Busi for the second-awakening method 144.

Despite his caution after repeated near-death experiences, he remains resourceful and determined to improve. He temporarily joins the Body Sect to recover and find a route back to Shrek, then secretly steals its second-awakening technique when he can no longer wait 65 145.
