Shrek Academy is a ten-thousand-year-old institution regarded as the continent’s foremost academy. Its prestige rests on its public identity as a righteous organization that has eradicated Evil Soul Masters and cultivated generations of elite soul masters. It possesses a vast student and teacher body, an Inner Court, and the Sea God Pavilion, where its elders make major decisions. The Golden Ancient Tree is described as the academy’s foundation and a site connected to Tang San’s remaining will 45 112 135.

The academy had maintained a ten-thousand-year alliance with the Seven Treasure Glazed Sect. That relationship collapses after Ning Tian, Wu Feng, and Xiao Xiao leave Shrek’s sphere for the newly established Spirit Transmission Academy, which is backed by the sect 18 45.

Gu An identifies Shrek as both the ideal public stepping stone for Spirit Transmission Academy and a source of world origin connected to the children of destiny. He enters Shrek during its freshman assessment, openly ridicules the institution, and sets the stage for the rivalry between the two academies 17 18 25.

When Spirit Transmission Academy spreads claims linking Shrek to Evil Soul Masters, the Sea God Pavilion fears that the accusation could destroy ten thousand years of accumulated prestige and public support 112 116.

The academy’s leadership also takes pride in its ability to assimilate gifted outsiders. Mu En argues that exposure to Shrek’s culture, strength, care, and historical glory can turn hostile geniuses into loyal members; the elders specifically plan to use these methods on Gu An 135 163.

Conflict with Spirit Transmission Academy

Initial confrontation

Gu An arrives during Shrek’s freshman assessment and provokes the academy after Zhou Yi’s treatment of Xiao Xiao. Shrek agrees to have Huo Yuhao and Wang Dong face him, then considers using soul guidance devices to secure victory when the confrontation threatens its reputation 25 29 31.

The conflict escalates when Leng Yaozhu reveals her Titled Douluo-level strength and later deploys multiple Title Douluo-level Soul Spirits against Shrek. Shrek’s staff and students are intimidated by the overwhelming display 25 36.

Seven Devils exchange

After Qian Duoduo’s death, Shrek’s elders send the Seven Devils and Zhang Lexuan to Spirit Transmission Academy under the pretext of a friendly exchange. Their actual objective is to settle grievances and restore Shrek’s face through a public team battle 74 89.

Shrek fields two Soul Emperors and five Soul Kings against Spirit Transmission Academy’s notably younger team. The disparity in age and rank initially leads spectators to favor Shrek 89 91.

The exchange instead becomes a public setback. Captivity, negotiations, and public apology

Following the exchange, Yan Shaozhe, Xian Lin’er, Cai Mei’er, and the Seven Devils are detained by Spirit Transmission Academy. Shrek’s elders initially react with fury, but Mu En chooses negotiation over direct retaliation 115 116.

Shrek accepts demands for a public apology, resource compensation, and detention-related costs in order to recover its personnel and avoid further association with Evil Soul Masters. Cai Mei’er and Ling Luochen are not recovered; after Shrek doubts them, both choose to remain at Spirit Transmission Academy 128 129 130.

When Shrek delays issuing its agreed statements, Long Yeyue arrives in Shrek City and intimidates the elders with nine hundred-thousand-year soul rings. Shrek posts apology and clarification statements across the continent the following day 150.

Gu An’s visit

Shrek later agrees to admit Gu An into its grounds, intending to stall him, expose him to Shrek’s culture, and potentially use the Golden Ancient Tree and Tang San’s remaining will to erase his memories and turn him into a loyal Shrek student 135 163.

Gu An enters the Golden Ancient Tree with Shrek’s students, then separates from the group. He ultimately confirms that he is a Shrek Academy student before attacking Ah Yin and fusing Black Ah Yin with the World Origin 166.
