Story Role / Major Arcs
Purification of Dvalin
Bibi Dong chose Tianfeng as the Spirit Empire’s representative for the mission to purify the corrupted Dvalin, relying on his wind martial soul and aerial mobility. 9 He arrived above Stormterror’s Lair alongside Bai He and the Nether White Tiger, but the immense height immediately triggered his acrophobia. 10
After encountering Lumine, Tianfeng and Bai He temporarily joined her against Dvalin. Tianfeng took responsibility for the poisonous blood on the dragon’s head while Bai He covered their rear. 12 Dvalin was ultimately driven away, completing the mission for both the Spirit and Heaven Dou Empires; Tianfeng’s resulting reward pushed him to the peak of Level 96. 13
Spirit Empire Politics
Tianfeng’s successful mission made him useful to Bibi Dong’s effort to consolidate control over the Spirit Empire. She proposed placing him in the Consecrated Hall as its Eighth Consecrated. 13
When Chen Fan left the Spirit Empire, Tianfeng warned Bibi Dong that Chen Fan could become a major threat if another empire recruited him. His suggestion contributed to the tense atmosphere surrounding Chen Fan’s defection. 16
Rite of Descension and Liyue Conflict
Tianfeng later entered Liyue as part of the Spirit Empire’s contingent for the Rite of Descension survival mission. He appeared on a rooftop but was again unsettled by the height. 30
While evading the Millelith, he injured pursuing soldiers and drew their attention away from Lumine and Chen Fan. Keqing confronted him; he used wind-based aerial tactics to wear her down before escaping when Yun Jin and Gaming joined the battle. 34 35
Assault on the Jade Chamber
Tianfeng recruited Pufferfish Douluo after the latter was injured by Keqing, then carried him to the Jade Chamber for a nighttime assault. 36 He intended to kill Ningguang and Keqing to secure an escape route. 38
Pufferfish Douluo was killed by Keqing’s Elemental Burst. Tianfeng then kicked the exhausted Keqing and attempted to finish her, but Yaoyao intervened. Chen Fan arrived shortly afterward and bound Tianfeng with the Impermanence Chain. 38
