By then, the Uchiha clan had surrounded the Hokage Building.

Uchiha Shisui activated Susanoo and glared at Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"Uchiha..."

Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes widened.

He hadn't expected the coup to happen so soon!

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

The Uchiha ninja formed hand seals.

In an instant, hundreds of fireballs exploded toward the building!

They seemed intent on reducing the Hokage Building to rubble!

With hundreds of Fire Release techniques raining down, at least half the Hokage Building would be blown away!

"Oh no, Sasuke's still in there!"

Uchiha Itachi hurried to his feet.

He wasn't worried about himself. He was worried about Sasuke!

"Luckily, I kept one last trick up my sleeve."

Sarutobi Hiruzen snorted and slapped one hand on the desk.

A seal appeared on its surface.

A purple barrier immediately rose around the Hokage Building.

The Great Fireballs exploded against it one after another, but still failed to destroy it.

"Uchiha Fugaku, I knew you wouldn't be able to hold back."

Sarutobi Hiruzen walked to the window.

The window had already been completely smashed by Shisui's punch.

Uchiha Fugaku stood below, looking up at Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"Sarutobi, it's time we settled the score for everything the Uchiha have lost."

Sarutobi Hiruzen sneered, looking only at Uchiha Itachi beside him.

"Do you see? These are your clansmen! The ones staging a coup! The ones who made themselves enemies of Konoha!"

Uchiha Itachi said nothing. He remained silent.

Because he saw Uchiha Yu among the crowd, too.

Only seven years old, Uchiha Yu stood beside Uchiha Fugaku, wearing the same outfit he often wore at the Ninja Academy.

His expression was calm.

On one side was the village; on the other, his clan.

For a moment, Uchiha Itachi truly didn't know what to choose.

"I..." Uchiha Itachi pondered for a long while. "I'm Uchiha Itachi of Konoha!"

"Bullshit!" Uchiha Yu snorted. "Your name's Uchiha Itachi, not Konoha Itachi! Would you only change your mind if Shisui died right in front of you?"

Oh, right. Shisui dying in front of him wouldn't help either, since Shisui had already died once.

Uchiha Itachi raised his head and looked at Uchiha Shisui's chest.

Through a gap in his clothes, he could see a horrifying scar.

"Shisui!" Uchiha Itachi's pupils contracted.

"So you'd already attacked Shisui?" Uchiha Itachi looked around. "Where's Shimura Danzō? Isn't this the kind of thing Shimura Danzō would normally handle? Did Shisui kill him?"

Seeing how quickly Uchiha Itachi had pieced most of it together, Sarutobi Hiruzen knew there was no point hiding it. "Shisui's Sharingan posed a threat to the village."

"Threat, my ass!" Uchiha Yu stood in front of the barrier and shouted, "Why do you love pretending to be righteous while doing despicable things? Did Shisui beat up your grandson, Konohamaru? Have you even seen Shisui use Kotoamatsukami?"

"Didn't you know all about Orochimaru's research? Didn't you fund it? Then you drove him out. You've got some nerve."

"And there's that orphan of a certain Hokage, who can't even afford instant noodles and has to drink expired milk. You're telling me you never noticed? Did you have no heart?"

"You're always going on about the Will of Fire. Now that Shimura Danzō is dead and there's no one left to clean up after you, you've taken Sasuke hostage? I thought you'd brainwashed yourself by now, spending every day getting high on your own fantasy that you embody the Will of Fire. But old habits die hard. Hand over my little brother, or I'll blast the Hokage Building to pieces!"

That tirade left more than just Sarutobi Hiruzen stunned.

Everyone was stunned.

What the hell? All that really happened?

It felt like they'd just stumbled onto some huge scandal!

So Sarutobi Hiruzen had all these skeletons in his closet!

Sarutobi Hiruzen's expression was now darker than ever.

"Hand Sasuke over, now!" Uchiha Fugaku said coldly. "I might even let you die with your reputation intact."

Sarutobi Hiruzen snorted.

"You think you've won?"

Just then, a vast crowd appeared in the distance.

Ninja from every clan had mobilized!

The Yamanaka, Nara, Akimichi, Aburame, Inuzuka, Hyuga, and Sarutobi clans!

Ninja from all the major clans had come out!

Hatake Kakashi, Might Guy, Gekko Hayate, and other ninja had also appeared before the crowd.

At first, the Uchiha clan had surrounded the Hokage Building.

Now, nearly all of Konoha's ninja had surrounded the Uchiha!

An overwhelming advantage in numbers!

"Traitorous Uchiha!" Sarutobi Hiruzen looked down at the crowd. "The Uchiha are plotting a coup and intend to kill me here! We must eliminate the dissidents and protect peace in Konoha!"

"Hmph! The Uchiha really are a cruel clan!"

"They even want to assassinate Lord Hokage!"

"Good thing we were prepared. Otherwise, the consequences would've been unthinkable!"

Uchiha Shisui looked at Uchiha Fugaku.

"What do we do?"

Uchiha Fugaku pondered for a long time, but his eyes remained resolute.

"Sarutobi Hiruzen has to die!"

Uchiha Shisui nodded.

He brought his hands together.

"Susanoo: Yasaka Magatama!"

The chest armor of his green Susanoo opened.

Countless green chakra arrows shot out!

They all blasted into the barrier!

Blinding flashes erupted, accompanied by a suffocating surge of chakra!

The Susanoo, hailed as a divine power, broke through the barrier with sheer force, punching a huge hole in it!

Uchiha Itachi looked at Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"This barrier was modeled after the Four Violet Flames Formation, but its defenses are nowhere near as strong. It was only meant as an emergency measure. Hokage, it seems those Konoha ninja are your trump card!"

Sarutobi Hiruzen sneered.

"I won't surrender without a fight!"

"Big brother! Hurry and rescue Sasuke! He's in Sarutobi Hiruzen's hands!" Uchiha Yu hurriedly reminded him.

Uchiha Itachi thought for a moment, then his body turned into crows and vanished.

"Uchiha Itachi, so you've sided with the Uchiha after all!"

Anger flashed in Sarutobi Hiruzen's eyes.

"Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Technique!"

A fire dragon shot straight into the wall beside them.

The wall exploded!

As the room collapsed, a figure darted out.

It was Uchiha Itachi!

He held the unconscious Sasuke in his arms, his expression grim.

"Ninja Art: Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"

Sarutobi Hiruzen threw another shuriken. It split into countless more, filling the air as they flew toward Uchiha Itachi.

In midair, Uchiha Itachi couldn't change direction. He had no choice but to hold Sasuke in one arm and a kunai in the other, while using his Sharingan to read the shuriken's paths and deflect them one by one.

At his full strength, Uchiha Itachi was terrifying!

Suddenly, one of the shuriken had an Explosive Tag attached to it.

"Hm?"

The blast's shockwave erupted violently!

Uchiha Itachi reacted in time, but the blast still sent him flying back.

Sasuke fell from the sky, too.

"Sasuke!"

Uchiha Yu hurriedly leapt up to catch him.

Sarutobi Hiruzen's Explosive Tag had caught them completely off guard.

"Combined Ninjutsu: Earth Dragon Flame Flow!"

A huge earth dragon surged upward, and a pillar of flame shot straight at Uchiha Sasuke!

In midair, Sasuke was swallowed by the pillar of flame!

"Sasuke!" Uchiha Yu's eyes widened.

What the hell?

Was Sasuke already dead?

That couldn't be!

Uchiha Itachi landed beside Uchiha Yu, his expression grim.

He stared at the flames filling the sky.

The Mangekyō Sharingan covered both their three-tomoe Sharingan.

Uchiha Yu and Uchiha Itachi opened their eyes once more!
