"What's it to you? Are you asking for a beating, you lecherous, one-eyed creep?" Uchiha Gen stared at Danzo with fearless contempt. With his current ocular power, he could manifest a Susanoo over a thousand meters tall, wield two hundred-meter-long great blades, and keep Izanagi on standby. Across the entire ninja world, he was practically unstoppable. As for the Otsutsuki, they could all just sit down! Aside from Isshiki Otsutsuki, Urashiki Otsutsuki, Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Kinshiki Otsutsuki, Kaguya Otsutsuki, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, Hamura Otsutsuki, and Chenxiang Otsutsuki, everyone else present was trash!

"You—how insolent!" Danzo was livid.

"I'm being insolent, so what are you going to do about it? If you've got the guts, make a move! Do you believe I could send you to meet the Second Hokage with a single Susanoo?" Uchiha Gen arrogantly flaunted his attitude.

"Gen-kun, let it go. Danzo is an elder, after all!" Namikaze Minato stepped in to mediate.

"Ahem, let's all calm down. Danzo, say less. Gen is a hero of our Konoha, after all. If it weren't for him that night, who knows what would have become of the village!" The Third Hokage chimed in to persuade them.

"Hmph, Hiruzen. Danzo may have been a bit heated, but his concerns are understandable. After all, everyone saw the Sharingan in the Nine-Tails' eyes that night. How does the Uchiha clan explain that?" Koharu Utatane pretended to be a peacemaker while actually twisting the knife.

"Explain? Why would I, Uchiha Gen, ever need to explain my actions to others? If you had said that two days ago, I probably would have helped the Nine-Tails crush you! A bunch of morons like you are fit to be Konoha's top brass? You'd be better off replaced by that pig Tsunade or the dogs from the Inuzuka Clan!" Uchiha Gen dismissed them with disdain.

"You! You—" Koharu Utatane was so agitated she looked like she was about to have a stroke.

"Hiruzen, you see this? This evil brat is completely lawless!" Danzo was overcome with indignation.

"Oh, and then what? Honorable Lord Danzo, hurry up and send your Root elites to take me down! If you're late, I'm going home to sleep!" Uchiha Gen teased.

"Everyone, settle down. I am the Hokage now!" Namikaze Minato said with rare severity.

"My apologies, Gen-kun. The main reason I called you here was to discuss Anbu personnel changes. In light of your immense strength and contributions to Konoha, I am officially appointing you as the Chief of the Anbu." Namikaze Minato pulled a prepared document from under his desk.

Minato had long planned this appointment. Making Uchiha Gen the Anbu Chief would win over the Uchiha clan, check the power of Danzo and the other elders, reclaim authority from the Third Hokage, and compensate for the incident where he had been forced to betray Gen. It was a move that served multiple purposes! If this were any other Uchiha (Obito excluded), they would be ecstatic, as the clan had always dreamed of infiltrating the upper echelons of Konoha's power.

The Anbu Chief was a position second only to the Hokage, theoretically commanding the entire village's loyalty.

Unfortunately, having lived through a 996 work-culture life in his previous world, Uchiha Gen had no intention of creating extra work for himself. Anbu Chief? It sounded like a massive headache. He'd probably spend all day playing political games with these old fossils instead of doing anything productive.

This was absolutely not the life he wanted! Namikaze Minato, I saved you and your wife, and this is how you repay me? I'm your benefactor, and you want to turn me into a corporate drone? If I didn't need you to keep the Konoha F4 in check, you'd be dead already!

"I disagree. The position of Anbu Chief is of the utmost importance; how can it be entrusted to a wet-behind-the-ears brat?" Danzo struck again.

"Exactly! Uchiha Gen has no management experience whatsoever!" Koharu Utatane added.

"Minato, reconsider. Uchiha Gen is truly too young," Homura Mitokado chimed in at the right moment.

"Minato, I understand your intentions, but there is a time and place for everything. Gen is still young. Perhaps he could join the Anbu to adapt and learn for a while before being promoted later." Hiruzen Sarutobi lived up to his reputation as a veteran politician, offering a compromise while subtly warning Minato.

"Are you all so narcissistic? Look over here!" Uchiha Gen suddenly interrupted the Konoha F4's political theater.

"I, Uchiha Gen, am from Konoha's premier clan. I have the strength, the looks, the resources, and the women. Do you really think I need anything? Do you think I'm stupid? Why would I want to be Anbu Chief? Isn't it better to avoid decades of unnecessary trouble? Why would I choose to live a good life only to go out of my way to be a masochist and take that job?" Uchiha Gen scanned the Konoha F4 with a look of pure idiocy.

"Uh!" Namikaze Minato, who had been preparing to persuade the Third Hokage, hadn't expected the problem to come from Gen himself. He was completely stumped; if the person involved didn't want the job, all his maneuvering was useless. Seeing the resolute look on Gen's face, Minato could only sigh internally. It seemed he would have to rely on Kakashi. Grow up quickly, Kakashi.

"Hmph, no ambition. This is for the best," Danzo thought to himself.

"What a strange Uchiha, but this is fine," Koharu Utatane sighed in relief, comforting herself.

"Is he truly lacking ambition, or does he have other plans? Given his strength, his will and conviction should be just as formidable. I'll have to keep a close eye on him," Hiruzen Sarutobi mused, his mind full of schemes.

"Anything else? If not, I'm going back to sleep!" Uchiha Gen couldn't be bothered to guess how these politicians were calculating. This was a world of the extraordinary; strength was all that mattered. Just keep getting stronger and brute-force everything. What good were their schemes? Under a Tengai Shinsei, all beings were equal! If one meteor wasn't enough, he'd just drop another. Quantity over quality!

"Nothing else. Since your heart isn't in it, Gen-kun, I won't force you. However, if Konoha faces an emergency in the future, I hope you will act out of loyalty to the village!" Minato had been Hokage long enough to pick up the bureaucratic jargon. He must have learned it from the Third and his cronies. Well, dealing with these people every day, he'd have to learn it or go crazy. Sigh, unlike me—I have nothing but my strength!

"Sure, don't worry. As long as certain people don't go looking for death, I'm easy to talk to. But every time I act, there will be a price. Have things like chakra metal or the Scroll of Sealing ready before you come to talk to me about it. That's all, I'm off! Don't bother seeing me out!" Uchiha Gen turned and waved, leaving without a backward glance.
