"What's it got to do with you? You one-eyed pervert, looking for a beating?" Uchiha Gen stared down Danzo without a hint of fear. With his current ocular prowess, a Susanoo over a thousand meters tall, two greatswords over a hundred meters long, and Izanagi ready to go, he could carve through the entire Ninja World without breaking a sweat. The Ōtsutsuki could take a seat first! Aside from Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, Urashiki Otsutsuki, Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Kinshiki Otsutsuki, Kaguya Otsutsuki, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, Hamura Otsutsuki, and Chenxiang Otsutsuki? Everyone else here was trash!!!

"You! How dare you!" Danzo was fuming!

"So what if I dare? What are you going to do about it? Go ahead, try me! Think my Susanoo couldn't send you to meet the Second Hokage?" Uchiha Gen brazenly made his position clear!

"Gen, let it go. Danzo is a senior elder, after all," Namikaze Minato said, trying to smooth things over.

"Ahem, let's all calm down. Danzo, you should say less. Gen is a hero of Konoha, after all. Who knows what would have happened to Konoha that night if not for him!" The Third Hokage tried to mediate as well.

"Hmph, Hiruzen, Danzo may have gotten a little worked up, but his concerns are understandable. Everyone saw the Sharingan in the Nine-Tails' eyes that night. So, what does the Uchiha Clan have to say about that?" Utatane Koharu appeared to be breaking up the argument, but was actually twisting the knife.

"An explanation? I, Uchiha Gen, have never needed to explain myself to anyone! If you'd said that two days earlier, I might've helped the Nine-Tails pound you into the ground! A bunch of brainless idiots like you think you're fit to serve on the Konoha High Command? Even a pig like Tsunade or a dog from the Inuzuka Clan would do a better job!" Uchiha Gen saw no need to dignify that with an explanation.

"You! You—" Utatane Koharu was so furious she was practically choking!

"Hiruzen, you see that? That evil little brat is completely out of control!" Danzo was beside himself with anger!

"Oh? And then what, esteemed Lord Danzo? Hurry up and send your Root elite after me! If you wait too long, I'll be home asleep!" Uchiha Gen taunted him.

"Enough, all of you. I'm the Hokage now," Namikaze Minato said, unusually stern.

"Sorry, Gen. I mainly called you here to discuss personnel changes in the Anbu. In recognition of your great strength and your contributions to Konoha, I hereby appoint you head of the Anbu." Namikaze Minato took a document he had prepared earlier from beneath the Hokage's desk.

Namikaze Minato had planned to appoint Uchiha Gen for some time. Making him head of the Anbu would help win over the Uchiha Clan, keep Danzo and the other elder faction in check, and wrest power from the Third Hokage. It would also make up for having been forced to sell out Uchiha Gen before. It was a win on every front! If the position had gone to any other Uchiha (Obito didn't count), he'd probably have been overjoyed. The Uchiha Clan had dreamed of gaining a foothold in Konoha's upper ranks for ages!

The head of the Anbu was second only to the Hokage, at least in name. The entire organization had to obey the Hokage's orders!

Unfortunately, Uchiha Gen had spent his previous life working 996 hours and had no intention of giving himself more work for no reason! Head of the Anbu? It sounded like a huge hassle. He'd probably spend all day scheming against those old geezers instead of doing anything else!

That was absolutely not the life he wanted! Namikaze Minato, I went out of my way to save you and your wife, and this is how you repay me? I'm your savior, and you want me to be your sacrificial pawn? If you didn't need me to keep the Konoha F4 in check, you'd already be dead!

"I object. The head of the Anbu is an extremely important position. How can you give it to a snot-nosed brat?" Shimura Danzō struck again!

"Exactly! Uchiha Gen has no management experience whatsoever!" Utatane Koharu added.

"Minato, think it over. Uchiha Gen is simply too young," Mitokado Homura chimed in at the right moment!

"Minato, I understand what you're trying to do, but we have to consider what matters most. Gen is still too young. You could let him join the Anbu and get some experience first, then promote him later." Hiruzen Sarutobi was every bit the seasoned politician. He offered a reasonable compromise while reminding Minato of the situation with a pointed double meaning!

"Don't you think you're getting a little full of yourselves? You're all staring over here!" Uchiha Gen suddenly cut off the Konoha F4's political theater.

"I, Uchiha Gen, am the head of Konoha's foremost clan. I've got strength, good looks, resources, and women—all backed by strength! Do you believe that with one word from me, the whole Uchiha Clan would be falling over itself to shower me with money and women? What am I missing? A screw loose? Why would I go be head of the Anbu? Wouldn't I be better off skipping decades of detours? Why give up my comfortable life just to make myself miserable as head of the Anbu?" Uchiha Gen swept his gaze over the Konoha F4 with an expression that said they were idiots.

"Uh!" Namikaze Minato had been preparing to work on the Third Hokage, but he hadn't expected the real problem to be Uchiha Gen himself. Now he was completely stumped. If the person in question wouldn't agree, no amount of maneuvering would help. Gen had nipped his grand plans in the bud. Seeing Gen's resolute expression, Namikaze Minato could only sigh. It seemed he'd have to rely on Kakashi. Hurry up and grow stronger, Kakashi.

"Hmph, no ambition. All the better," Shimura Danzō thought to himself.

"What a strange Uchiha. Still, this is for the best," Utatane Koharu thought, letting out a sigh of relief as she reassured herself.

"Does he really lack ambition, or does he have something else in mind? With such power, his will and conviction should be just as strong. I'll have to keep a closer eye on him," Hiruzen Sarutobi thought, already plotting.

"Anything else? If not, I'm going back to catch up on sleep." Uchiha Gen couldn't be bothered to guess what schemes these politicians were hatching. This was a supernatural world where everything came down to strength. He just needed to get stronger and charge in without thinking! What good were their schemes? Beneath Tengai Shinsei, all were equal! If one Tengai Shinsei wasn't enough, he'd just drop another! He believed in serving up plenty~

"That's all. Since you're not interested in the position, I won't force you. But if Konoha ever faces an emergency, I hope you'll step in for the sake of being one of our own," Namikaze Minato said. He'd been Hokage for a while now, and he was already speaking like a politician! He must've picked it up from the Third and the others. Well, he had to deal with people like them every day. If he didn't learn the lingo, he probably couldn't handle them! Sigh, unlike me, all I have is strength!

"Sure, don't worry. As long as certain people don't go looking for trouble, I'm easy to get along with. But I expect to be paid every time I step in. Get things like Chakra Metal and the Scroll of Sealing ready, then come talk to me about helping out. That's all. I'm going home! No need to see me out!" Uchiha Gen turned and waved, leaving a trail of clouds behind him!
