"The Eye of the Moon Plan? You've mentioned it several times now, Gen. What kind of plan is it?" Namikaze Minato sensed that things weren't as simple as they seemed. Even a powerful man like Madara Uchiha had become obsessed with it!

"The Eye of the Moon Plan is a long story. It all began with an ancient stone tablet passed down through the Uchiha Clan. Only Uchiha with the Mangekyō Sharingan can read what's written on it. The tablet mainly describes the origins of the Uchiha Clan and the purpose of the Eye of the Moon Plan. According to it, the plan involves using the Rinnegan to summon the Ten-Tails' husk, which is sealed on the moon, then combining it with the Nine Tailed Beasts to resurrect the Ten-Tails. Once you become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, you reach the level of the Sage of Six Paths. Then you use the Rinnegan to cast the ultimate ocular technique, Infinite Tsukuyomi, on the moon. When that happens, the moonlight will cast all the people of the Ninja World into a virtual world called Infinite Tsukuyomi, creating a virtual peace. In a sense, there really would be no more wars, and the world would become a better place. Everyone's wishes and desires would be fulfilled in that virtual world, and Obito could have a world where Rin was still alive!"

Minato sucked in a sharp breath as he listened to the whole plan. What kind of ridiculous fantasy was this? The Rinnegan? Collecting all the Nine Tailed Beasts? Summoning the Ten-Tails? Casting a Genjutsu over everyone in the Ninja World? A virtual world of Infinite Tsukuyomi? Just how powerful would you have to be? How much chakra would it take? Could the gap between people really be that absurd?

I thought Gen's Susanoo, hundreds of meters tall, was already outrageous, but Obito's ambitions were even more outrageous. You'd never guess it from looking at him! This thick-browed dead last who couldn't even throw a Shuriken straight was that crazy!

I'd have my hands full just dealing with the Nine-Tails, but this guy wanted all of them, from the One-Tail to the Nine-Tails? Never mind how strong the Tailed Beasts were. The factions behind them alone were terrifying. And Obito actually wanted to take on the entire Ninja World by himself?

As expected of my student! No, no, I don't deserve to call myself his teacher! What had I done to deserve a student who caused this much trouble? If Obito went through with this, it wouldn't just be too much for me to handle—the whole of Konoha would be in over its head!

On top of that, the first step in Obito's plan was to attack Konoha. Seriously, what sins had I committed in a past life to end up with a little devil like him as my student?

I wouldn't say I'd been especially good to him, and I didn't expect him to repay me for it, but surely he didn't have to take revenge on me like this! Did Uchiha change this much after awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan? Gen had awakened it too, but compared to Obito, he didn't seem so bad after all! Minato gave Uchiha Gen a wry smile. Well, he was still better than Obito~

Minato had now completely given up on the idea of bringing Obito back. He sympathized with what Obito had gone through, but from the Hokage's perspective, someone with such dangerous ideas couldn't return to Konoha right now!

It seemed he could only find a chance to meet Obito in person. Some things could only be understood by seeing him face-to-face. He wouldn't insist on persuading Obito to come back, but at the very least, he couldn't let him endanger Konoha! His newborn son was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, after all. If Obito carried out his Eye of the Moon Plan, his son probably wouldn't be spared either!

For Konoha, and for Naruto, he couldn't let Obito keep going down this wrong path!

"Gen, do you know where Obito is right now? Is Madara Uchiha still with him?" Minato asked after a moment's thought.

"Uh, no. Uchiha Obito's Mangekyō ability is space-time based, so his location is always changing. He doesn't have a fixed place where he stays. As for Madara Uchiha, he's already died of old age. But according to his Eye of the Moon Plan, once all the Tailed Beasts have been gathered, Obito will use the Rinnegan to resurrect Madara in his prime. Obito is only responsible for the first half of the plan. Madara intends to carry out the second half himself." Uchiha Gen assumed Minato wanted to know Obito's exact location, so he gave a casual answer. He didn't know where Obito was exactly, but he did know where Amegakure in the Land of Rain was. Obito was mixed up with Nagato and the others, so going to Amegakure would surely lead him to Obito.

But what good would finding him do? He could flee in an instant, and Amegakure was a huge trap! Right now, Gen was the only one in Konoha who could claim to have a sure win against Nagato and his group. Anyone else who went there would be walking into a death trap, Fugaku included. Maybe Fugaku could go toe-to-toe with Nagato one-on-one, but Nagato had already gathered a bunch of Kage Level subordinates!

Against a group of Kage Level fighters with all sorts of bizarre abilities, plus Nagato at a level beyond Kage, even Uchiha Fugaku would be done for! And as for having Uchiha Gen go?

That was even less likely. He hadn't brought any cheat abilities with him when he crossed over. His only advantage was knowing the plot! If he rushed over and beat them all up, only for Black Zetsu, Obito, and Nagato to run off, the whole plot would go off the rails. Who knew what might happen after that!

Maybe Black Zetsu would play it safe and lie low for another hundred years. Then, a decade or so later, the Otsutsuki would descend on Earth while Naruto and Sasuke had become second-generation slackers, idling around at home. What then? Who would step up?

Holy crap! The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed! Minato was still alive, and Naruto had a Hokage for a dad. He'd probably grow up to be like Konohamaru...

Fugaku was still alive too, so Sasuke wouldn't turn evil and spend every day thinking about revenge, much less defect to seek out Orochimaru! Even his older brother, Uchiha Itachi, might not awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, let alone Sasuke, who'd grown up in a happy home. With a happy family, a harmonious marriage, and friendly brothers, there was no way Sasuke would awaken the Mangekyō...

It was over. They were doomed! In a decade or so, would he have to face the Otsutsuki?

But without a sibling, he couldn't evolve his Mangekyō into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, let alone advance to the Rinnegan. Could he really fight the Otsutsuki with just the Mangekyō Sharingan?

The more he thought about it, the more his scalp tingled. Once Uchiha Gen had worked all this out, he felt awful...

"Gen, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Minato asked with concern as he watched the boy's face grow paler and paler.

"Huh? I'm fine! What could possibly be wrong with me? I'm great, just great!" That was enough talk for today. He'd save the rest for another time. Right now, he needed some peace and quiet.

Seeing Uchiha Gen acting so strangely, Minato had no choice but to put his questions about the Rinnegan on hold. Maybe Gen had remembered something important. Never mind, he could come back another time! He'd learned more than enough today. He needed to return and discuss countermeasures with the Third Hokage and the others!

Judging from the strength Obito had shown that night, he was in no way inferior to Minato. Madara Uchiha truly deserved his reputation as the Asura of the Ninja World. He'd made Obito so much stronger in just a few short years!

But Obito, the Flying Thunder God Mark will never disappear!
