Site Features

The well lies at the base of an inverted-cone valley beyond Dugu Bo's poisonous miasma. Its central pool is split into two non-mixing halves: one milky-white and lethally cold, the other vermilion and intensely hot. The surrounding natural energy is so dense it resembles tangible mist. The springs themselves were formed by the residual origin power leaking from the fallen Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King beneath the valley. 15 81 180

History

Ronan sought the well after learning that its immortal herbs could repair Tang Yuehua's mutated Martial Soul and break her level-nine limit. After gaining his eighth spirit ring, he crossed Sunset Forest, found Dugu Bo's Green Phosphorus Poison Array, and burned a passage through it with Golden Dragon Sacred Flame. 9 14 15

Inside the valley, Ronan harvested immortal herbs and consumed the Earth Dragon Golden Melon, which strengthened his body, purified his dragon bloodline, and raised his soul power to level 86. He later used the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and Blazing Apricot Delicate together with the well's waters to undergo Ice and Fire Golden Body Refining, gaining ice-and-fire immunity, elemental control, and level 90 soul power. 15 17

Before leaving after his first harvest, Ronan consumed Autumn Dew to more than double his spiritual power. He also removed most of the garden's mature, high-grade immortal herbs for later use. 18

After subduing Dugu Bo, Ronan converted the former occupant into the well's sworn guardian. Dugu Bo was ordered to kill any unauthorized intruder and protect every plant in the valley. 16 50

Ronan later used the well's dense elemental environment to condense his first Soul Core, whose patterns carried his ultimate light, fire, and ice attributes. 31

The well later became the bargaining stake in Ronan's negotiations with Di Tian. Ronan initially withheld its location to compel the Beast God into granting him a favor, but eventually agreed to reveal it in return for help resolving the conflict between his light- and dark-attributed Martial Souls. 55 57 58 79 81

Once brought to the site, Di Tian confirmed the Dragon Kings' burial ground, guided Ronan through the formation of Yin-Yang Complementary Dual Soul Cores, and ultimately instructed Ronan to protect the well from those with ulterior motives. 81 82 83 84

Ronan later brought Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling to the well to absorb immortal herbs suited to their Martial Souls. Afterward, he again instructed Dugu Bo to remain at the site, cultivate there, and protect the remaining herbs from outsiders. 88 89 90

After Dugu Bo reached level 95, Ronan taught him the Soul Core Condensation Method at the well. During the attempt, the spring's extreme ice-and-fire energy entered Dugu Bo's meridians and served as the catalyst for his Soul Power's compression. 153 154

Di Tian subsequently deemed Ronan qualified to receive the inheritances of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King, offering to personally escort him beneath the well. Ronan initially refused the proposal, while Di Tian explained that no current Spirit Beast possessed the necessary combination of Dragon Clan bloodline, physical strength, and ice-and-fire compatibility to inherit the remains. 179 180
